The Aerial and ground shelling continue on the 17th day of the most violent escalation leaving more casualties and destruction

The “de-escalation” areas are witnessing on the 17th consecutive day of the heaviest escalation continuous ground and aerial bombardment, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored dropping more barrel bombs by helicopters on areas in the villages of Om al-Sir and Hasanah, raising to 104, the number of barrel bombs dropped by regime’s helicopters on places in Idlib, Hama, and Latakia since after midnight pf yesterday, they are: 25 on Kabani, 16 on Midan Ghazal, 10 on al-Hbit, 6 on Khan Shaykhun and its outskirts, 6 on Shahranaz, 5 on Om al-Sir, and 3 on each of Abdeen, Hersh Kafruma, al-Amiqah, Tremla, Hasanah, Ma’aret Hurmah, Kafrsajna, Qassabiyyeh, Mughr al-Hamam, outskirts of al-Sayyad, and al-Wibda, while it rose to 68, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes on the “de-escalation” area since midnight of yesterday, they are: 19 on Kabani, 11 on Khan Shaykhun, 6 on al-Hbit, 6 on Ma’aret Hurmah, 4 Kafrsajna, 6 on Hish, and 2 raids on each of Kafr Nubl, Kafruma, , Jabbala and its outskirts, Shahranaz, Abdeen, Hass, al-Hawash, and Tremla, while the Russian warplanes carried out raids on areas in al-Hawash village in Sahl al-Ghab, raising to 9, the number of raids they carried out since morning on areas in the villages of al-Ankawi and al-Hawash in Sahl al-Ghab.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 452, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 153 civilians including 27 children and 33 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 25 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 46 including 8 women, 6 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 29 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 20 citizens including 9 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 162 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 137 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 27th day, to 605 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 16th of May 2019, they are 203 civilians including 41 children and 44 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 24 civilians casualties including 9 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 180 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 203 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 15th of May 2019, the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 16th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 981 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 441 civilians including 111 children under the age of eighteen and 102 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 48 people including 15 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 248 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 155 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 292 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1211 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 522 civilians including 143 children and 114 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 51 people including 15 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 315 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 170 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 374 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
