After 9 hours absence from the atmosphere, the warplanes and helicopters fly again the “de-escalation” area and carry out more than 25 airstrikes targeting mountains of the coast and the countryside of Hama and Idlib
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the return of warplanes and helicopters to fly over the “de-escalation” area, after being absent from the skies for more than 9 hours since midnight of yesterday, where regime’s warplanes carried out more than 15 air raids and targeted in the countryside of Hama, Idlib, and Latakia, and they are: 8 on Kabani area in Jabal al-Akrad, 3 raids on Kafr Zeta north of Hama, 2 raids on Hish south of Idlib, 2 raids on the outskirts of al-Faqea, also the helicopters dropped more than 10 barrel bombs on Kabani area, and 2 barrels on al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, while the violent clashes renewed in the areas of Karakat and Midan Ghazal in Jabal Shashabo, between the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in a continuous attack by the latter on the area, amid shelling, aerial and ground targeting, and information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties.
The Syrian Observatory published this morning that the heaviest escalation ever has entered its 18th day within the “de-escalation” area with a total absence of warplanes and helicopters from the area’s airspace since midnight until now, where the helicopters had dropped barrel bombs on Horta and Midan Ghazal in Jabal Shashabo at midnight, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes took place after midnight of yesterday, in the areas of al-Karakat and Hersh al-Karakat in Jabal Shashabo in Hama countryside, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against factions of the National Liberation Front, after an ambush carried out by the latter in the area which caused casualties, where at least 5 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed, while 2 of the factions were killed, also the regime forces shelled after midnight and dawn of today places in al-Lataminah and al-Zakat north of Hama, Tremla village south of Idlib, and other places in Midan Ghazal village in Jabal Shashabo, also Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham targeted places by missiles and primary information about casualties and injuries.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 460, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 154 civilians including 28 children and 33 citizen women, and they are 33 including 7 female children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 25 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 47 including 8 women, 8 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 29 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 20 citizens including 9 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 164 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 142 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 28th day, to 613 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 17th of May 2019, they are 204 civilians including 42 children and 44 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 24 civilians casualties including 9 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 182 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 208 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 15th of May 2019, the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 17th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 989 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 442 civilians including 112 children under the age of eighteen and 102 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 48 people including 15 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 250 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 155 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 297 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1219 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 523 civilians including 144 children and 114 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 51 people including 15 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 317 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 170 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 379 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
