Heavy shelling by the regime forces on the “de-escalation” zones at the end of the first day of the undeclared truce after the air-escalation

Areas in the towns and villages of Al-Hbit, Kafr Ein, Mughr Al-Hamam, Tal Al-Sakhr and Al-Jisat in the southern countryside of Idlib and the northern countryside of Hama, witnessed heavy rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces, where they targeted the area by more than 100 rocket and artillery shells, amid sweeping operations by the regime forces using their heavy machineguns in the vicinity of Kafr Nabudah town in the north-western countryside of Hama, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of a fighter of Jaysh Al-Izza as a result of shelling by the regime forces on areas in the outskirts of Al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama, while the SOHR documented the death of 2 citizens they are a man who died affected by the injury he had in bombardment by Russian warplanes on areas in Al-Hbit town and a child who died affected by his injury due to earlier shelling by the factions on areas in Muhradah city in the north-western countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago, that it monitored violent clashes between the factions and the jihadi groups against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, in the area of Horsh Al-Kirkat in the north-western countryside of Hama, these clashes come after the regime forces advanced after the today’s sunset in several posts in Horsh Al-Kirkat, to be followed by a counter attack by the factions on the positions of the regime forces, in conjunction with rocket shelling by the regime forces on areas in Al-Arba’in and Midan Ghazal in the northern and north-western countryside of Hama.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 482, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, and they are: 163 civilians including 32 children and 37 citizen women, and they are 34 including 7 children and 9 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 25 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 54 including 12 women, 11 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 29 people including 5 women and a child were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 21 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 169 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 150 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 28th day, to 635 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 17th of May 2019, they are 213 civilians including 45 children and 48 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 25 civilians casualties including 10 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 187 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 216 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019 and the 15th of May 2019, the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 17th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1011 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 451 civilians including 115 children under the age of eighteen and 106 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 49 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 255 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 158 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 305 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1241 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 532 civilians including 147 children and 118 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 322 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 173 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 387 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
