Regime’s warplanes and the Russian “guarantor” begin the 24th day of the heaviest escalation by more than 115 airstrikes targeting Hama and Idlib countryside in conjunction with shelling exchange between the factions and the regime forces in the contact areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 5 civilians in the aerial and ground shelling today, Thursday, the 23rd  of May 2019, in the “de-escalation” area, they are: a man and a woman were killed in shelling by regime’s warplanes on Kafrsajna town in the southern countryside of Idlib, a man was killed in raids by regime’s warplanes on Hish town south Idlib, and 2 men were killed in shelling by the regime forces on places in Kafr Nubl town, while it rose to 45, the number of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters over towns and villages within the “de-escalation” area since after midnight, they are: 16 on Kafr Nabudah, 14 on al-Hbit, 11 on Hersh al-Qassabiyyeh, 2 on Tremla, and 2 on Arinbeh, also it rose to 31, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes since this morning, they are: 8 raids on Kafr Nabudah, 5 raids on Ma’aret Hurmah town, 4 on Hazarin, and 2 raids on each of al-Rakaya, Kafrsajna, Hish, Tremla, Maarrat al-Nu’man, while the Russian warplanes carried out new raids on Hazarin village in southern countryside of Idlib, amid intensive rocket shelling by the regime forces on Kafr Nubl town south of Idlib, and other areas in Sahl al-Ghab, Jabal Shashabo, and the northern countryside of Hama.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 669, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, the 23rd of May 2019, and they are: 209 civilians including 39 children and 42 citizen women, and they are 44 including 13 children and 12 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 26 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 80 including 12 women, 13 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 38 people including 6 women and 3 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 21 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 245 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 215 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 34th day, to 822 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 23rd of May 2019, they are 259 civilians including 53 children and 53 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 25 civilian casualties including 10 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 263 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 281 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 23rd of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1198 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they  are 467 civilians including 123 children under the age of eighteen and 111 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 49 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 331 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 198 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 370 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1427 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 577 civilians including 154 children and 123 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 398 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 212 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 452 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
