More barrel bombs and raids by the Russian and Syrian warplanes and helicopters target the “de-escalation” areas on the 24th day of the heaviest escalation ever

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored missile targeting by the factions operating in the northern countryside of Hama for Hama airbase in the western countryside of Hamam but no information about casualties, but regarding the aerial bombardment, the Syrian and Russian warplanes carried out more raids in conjunction with dropping several barrel bombs by helicopter on the Russian – Turkish truce areas, where it rose to 52, the number of airstrikes carried out by warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” since after midnight, they are: 14 on Kafr Nabudah town and its outskirts, 13 on al-Hbit town south of Idlib, 3 on Tremla, 3 on Hazarin, 3 on the outskirts of Hass, 4 on Abdeen, and 2 raids on each of the outskirts and vicinity of Kafr Ain, al-Qassabiyyeh, Mughr al-Hamam, and Kafrsajna, while it rose to 82, the number of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters over towns and villages within the “de-escalation” area since after midnight, they are: 16 on Kafr Nabudah, 16 on al-Hbit, 14 on Kabani, 11 on Hersh al-Qassabiyyeh, 7 on Tremla, 2 on each of al-Lataminah, al-Naqir, Hzarin, and Arinbeh, while it rose to 74, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes since this morning, and they are: 10 raids on Kafr Nabudah, 7 on Kabani, 7 on Ma’aret Hurmah town, 4 on Hazarin, 4 on Taftanaz Airbase, 4 on Kafr Owaid, and 2 raids on each of Mughr al-Hanta, Kafruma, Arinbeh, Baraboo, al-Rakaya, Kafrsajna, Hish, Tremla, Jabbala, Hersh Maarrat al-Nu’man, Sfuhen, and Khan Shaykhun and its outskirts, and the Syrian Observatory learned that Kiwan Hospital in Kafr Owaid went out of service, due to airstrikes of regime’s warplanes that targeted its vicinity, raising to 6, the number of hospitals that gotten out of service since the start of the heaviest escalation, they are: Kiwan Hospital in Kafr Owaid, al-Sayeda Maryam Hospital in Kafr Nubl, al-Orient Hospital in Kafr Nubl, Nabd al-Hayat in Hass, the Hospital 111 in the Qal’aat al-Madiq, and al-Maghara Hospital in al-Lataminah town, in addition to 2 health centers in the towns of Kafr Nabudah and al-Hbit.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that it rose to 8, the number of civilians who were killed in the aerial and ground bombardment on Thursday, the 23rd of May 2019, in the “de-escalation” area, they are: a man and a woman were killed in shelling by regime’s warplanes on Kafrsajna town in the southern countryside of Idlib, a man was killed in raids by regime’s warplanes on Hish town south Idlib, and 3 people including a child were killed in shelling by the regime forces on places in Kafr Nubl town, and 2 girls were killed in shelling by regime’s warplanes on Kafr Owaid in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 672, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, the 23rd of May 2019, and they are: 212 civilians including 41 children and 43 citizen women, and they are 44 including 13 children and 12 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 26 including 7 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 82 including 12 women, 15 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 39 people including 5 women and 3 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 21 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 245 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 215 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 34th day, to 825 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 23rd of May 2019, they are 262 civilians including 55 children and 55 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 25 civilian casualties including 10 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 263 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 281 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 23rd of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1200 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they  are 500 civilians including 125 children under the age of eighteen and 112 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 49 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 331 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 198 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 370 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1430 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 580 civilians including 156 children and 124 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 398 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 212 of the “Jihadi” fighters and 23 fighters of Jaysh al-Izza, who were killed in ambushes and clashes including a commander at least, they were killed in ambushes and attack by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama, and 452 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
