Israeli missiles allegedly targeted Syrian Army base near Golan DMZ

The Israeli military allegedly fired missiles towards a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) base near the Golan Heights’ demilitarized zone, a new report claimed.

According to the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Israeli military targeted the Syrian Arab Army’s Brigade 90 base, which is located just east of the Golan Heights’ demilitarized zone.

The SOHR alleged that two missiles managed to hit the Brigade 90 base, while another projectile was shot down by the Syrian air defenses.

A source from the Syrian military denied that any missiles hit the Brigade 90 base, adding that it is still not clear whether or not the objects they shot down were even projectiles.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said the Israeli military targeted western Syria on Friday and Saturday. They added that the Israeli attack was repelled by their air defense forces.

Israel has yet to comment about these alleged attacks and the allegations that they carried them out.
