More human losses within the “de-escalation” zone raise the death toll at the end of the 28th day of the most violent escalation to more than 70 casualties and wounded mostly women and children

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented a spike in the number of casualties due to the continued aerial and ground bombardment on the de-escalation zone, bringing the number of civilians who were killed as a result of bombardment by the regime’s warplanes and its ground forces on areas in Idlib countryside, to 19 mostly women and children, where 10 citizens were killed they are: 5 citizen women and 4 children who were killed in a massacre carried out by regime’s warplanes which targeted Ariha city in the southern countryside of Idlib, while the number of casualties who were killed in the airstrikes and ground shelling which targeted Hazarin town to 6 civiliansincluding a child girl and 2 women, while 2 citizens were killed after the helicopters dropped barrel bombs over Ma’aret Hurmah, and a child was killed in aerial bombardment by the regime’s warplanes which targeted Karsaa village in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are more than 60 injured cases some of them are in critical situation within the areas which have been shelled, while areas in Horsh Al-Sukaybiyyeh, Tal Haddaya and IKARDA area in the southern countryside of Aleppo were shelled by bombs filled with the incendiary phosphorus which is internationally prohibited.

While it rose to 134, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes on the “de-escalation” area on Monday, and they are: 26 on al-Hbit, 20 on Khan Shaykhun, 19 on Ma’aret Hurmah, 14 on Kabani area, 8 on Kafr Nubl, 6 on Sheikh Mustafa, 5 on Hzarin, 3 on Ariha, 3 on Eblin, and 2 raids on each of the outskirts of al-Bara, Batinta, Ihsim, Kafr Owaid, al-Naqir, Maar Zita, Karsa’a, al-Faqea, Sfuhen, Tremla, Kansafra, Ma’arrat al-Sin, Kafr Sajna and Mashun, while it rose to 144, the number of barrel bombs dropped by the helicopters since dawn of today, they are: 39 Maaret Hurmah, 35 on al-Hbit, 19 on Kafr Sejneh, 16 on Khan Shaykhun, 11 on Sheikh Mustafa, 16 on Kabani, and 2 barrels on each of al-Sirmaniyah, Maar Zita, Hish, and al-Naqir, also it rose to more than 400, the number of shells and missiles launched by the regime forces since midnight of yesterday until now, targeting the countryside of Hama and Idlib mainly, in addition to Latakia and Aleppo countryside within the demilitarized area of “Putin – Erdogan”, while the Russian warplanes carried out 4 raids after the midnight on Karsa’a, 2 raids on Al-Naqir and 2 raids on Al-Hbit.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 834, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, the 27th of May 2019, and they are: 255 civilians including 53 children and 53 citizen women, and they are 44 including 13 children and 12 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 30 including 8 women and a child girl were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 105 including 18 women, 22 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 45 people including 5 women and 4 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 21 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 310 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 269 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 38th day, to 987 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 27th of May 2019, they are 306 civilians including 67 children and 64 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 25 civilian casualties including 10 children and 4 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 328 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 335 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 26th of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1362 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 543 civilians including 137 children under the age of eighteen and 120 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 49 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 396 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 237 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 424 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1592 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 619 civilians including 167 children and 132 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 462 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 252 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 506 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
