Demonstrations near the border with Iskenderun denounce the Turkish silence toward massacres of the regime and Russia within the “de-escalation” area, and the regime forces stood up against factions’ attack in Sahl al-Ghab and force them to retreat

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces were able to stand up against the attack which was carried out by the factions since this morning on al-Hwaiz village in Sahl al-Ghab at the northern countryside of Hama, where the factions were forced to withdraw from the positions and points to which they advanced in the eastern neighborhood of the village, after the participation of warplanes to stop this attack, also it rose to 15, the number of raids carried out by warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” on Kafr Ain, Khan Shaykhun, and al-Hbit in the southern countryside of Idlib, al-Hwash in Sahl al-Ghab, and Deir Senbol and Lwibdeh in Jabal Shashabo, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory learned that demonstrations took place north of Idlib city near the Syrian border with Iskenderun, condemning the Turkish silence towards the massacres committed by Russia and the regime against civilians and the displacement and destruction.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 962, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 31st of May 2019, and they are: 313 civilians including 77 children and 66 citizen women, and they are 44 including 15 children and 13 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 36 including 8 women and 4 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 164 including 35 women, 44 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 46 people including 6 women and 4 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 22 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 373 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 276 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 41st day, to 1112 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 31st of May 2019, they are 363 civilians including 91 children and 77 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 26 civilian casualties including 10 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 375 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 342 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 31st of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1491 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 601 civilians including 161 children under the age of eighteen and 133 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 50 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 10 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 459 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 285 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 431 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1720 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 681 civilians including 191 children and 145 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 526 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 300 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 513 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
