The intensity of the aerial and ground bombardment declines on the “de-escalation zone” in Idlib and Hama countryside

The Syrian observatory for Human Rights monitored the declined intensity of the aerial and ground bombardment by the warplanes of the regime and its ally Russia on the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce, where the bombardment is confined on some scattered areas ob both Hama and Idlib countryside near the contact lines with the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, where the SOHR documented airstrikes by the regime’s warplanes which targeted areas in the villages and towns of Abdeen, Kafr Oweid, Khan Shaykhun, Ein Larose, Al-Hbit, Latmin, Kafr Zita and Al-Sayyad within the southern countryside of Idlib and the northern countryside of Hama, also the helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on areas in Al-Hbit in the southern countryside of Idlib, while the factions fired rocket shells on areas in the vicinity of “Qamhana” village which is loyal to the regime in the northern countryside of Hama, without documenting casualties, and in the same context, areas in the towns and villages of Kafr Sajna, Madaya, Kafr Ein in the southern countryside of Idlib, were subjected to ground shelling by the regime forces by missile filled up with the incendiary napalm, raising to 77, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes since this morning, where they targeted the outskirts of Sarja, Hersh Bnin, Kafr Owaid, vicinity of Maarrat al-Nu’man, Arinbeh, outskirts of Khan Shaykhun, the vicinity of Kafrjales, Ein Larose, the western outskirts of Idlib city, Amiqah, al-Hwash, al-Hawijah, al-Sayyad, Ihsim, al-Hbit, Tal Aas, al-Faqea, Kafr Zita, Latmin, also the warplanes of the Russian “guarantor” carried out 15 raids by on Kafr Ain, Khan Shaykhun, and al-Hbit in the southern countryside of Idlib, al-Hwash in Sahl al-Ghab, and Deir Senbol and Lwbideh in Jabal Shashabo, and on Friday morning, the helicopters dropped 17 barrel bombs on al-Amiqah, al-Hwash, al-Hawijah, outskirts of Khan Shaykhun, Al-Hbit, Shahranaz, and Qara Jern, while more than 15 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were killed after targeting by the regime forces to a group of them my a guided missile in the area of Al-Huwayz in Sahl Al-Ghab within the north-western countryside of Hama, while it rose to 8, the number of the factions’ fighters who were killed in the shelling and clashes in Al-Huwayz today, Friday, also 7 members of the regime forces were killed in an attack by the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in the same area, where they managed to advance deep into the eastern neighborhood of Al-Huwayz, but the regime forces and with the participation of the Russian warplanes succeeded in repelling the attack and forced the attacker to withdraw to their positions and posts.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 981, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 31st of May 2019, and they are: 313 civilians including 77 children and 66 citizen women, and they are 44 including 15 children and 13 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 36 including 8 women and 4 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 164 including 35 women, 44 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 46 people including 6 women and 4 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 22 citizens including 10 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 392 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 276 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 41st day, to 1131 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 31st of May 2019, they are 363 civilians including 91 children and 77 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 26 civilian casualties including 10 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 407 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 342 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the 31st of May 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1510 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 601 civilians including 161 children under the age of eighteen and 133 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 50 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 10 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 478 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 300 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 431 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1739 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 681 civilians including 191 children and 145 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 545 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 315 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 513 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
