The jihadi and rebel factions expand their scope of control in a strategic village in the depth of the regime’s held areas in the north-western countryside of Hama in conjunction with the continued violent clashes and the heavy aerial and ground shelling on the clash areas
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the jihadi and rebel factions managed to expand their scope of control in the north-western countryside of Hama after violent clashes that have been still continuing since yesterday evening, where the factions managed expand their scope of control and advance deep into the strategic village of Al-Jalmah which is located near Al-Suqaylabiyah – Muhradah Road, where they managed to take the control of parts of the village, in the shadow of the continued clashes inside it in an attempt by the jihadi and rebel factions to take the control of the entire town, thus, they expanded their scope of control over this road, and this was coincided with shelling by rockets loaded with cluster bombs that targeted today evening, areas in Khan Al-Sabil, Kafr Batikh and the western outskirts of Maarrat Al-Nu’man in the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib which resulted in the injury of 5 citizens in Kafr Batikh, while it rose to at least 125, the number of raids carried out today, Friday, by the regime’s warplanes on the “de-escalation” zone targeting Khan Shaykhun city and the towns of Naqir, Sheikh Mustafa and Al-Hbit in the southern countryside of Idlib, Kafr Zita, Al-Arba’in, Al-Lataminah, Hasraya and Al-Zakah in the northern countryside of Hama, as well as the clash areas in Hama countryside, it also rose to at least 38, the number of raids carried out today by the Russian warplanes on Latmin, Murak, Kafr Zita, Al-Arba’in, Al-Lataminah, Hasraya and Al-Zakah in the northern countryside of Hama, and Khan Shaykhun in the southern countryside of Idlib, while it rose to 42, the number of barrel bombs dropped by the helicopters today, Friday, on Kabana area in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, Khan Shaykhun, Al-Hbit, Naqir, Al-Ftirah, Kafr Sajna and Arinbeh in the south of Idlib, and Kafr Zita, Murak and Al-Sayyad north of Hama, while it rose to 830, the number of rocket shells fired by the regime forces on the clash areas in Hama countryside, and other areas in the northern and north-western countryside of Hama, the southern countryside of Idlib in addition to Jabal Al-Akrad, also it rose to 520, the number of missiles and shells launched by the factions since after today’s afternoon, targeting Al-Hammamiyat, Karnaz, Al-Jamlah, Al-Jadidah, Kafr Hud, Sheikh Hadid, Al-Kerkat, al-Mestriha, Lafr Nabudah, Qasabiyeh and Tal Hawash which are under the control of the regime forces in both northern and north-western countryside of Hama, while the SOHR documented the rise of death toll against the backdrop of fierce battles which started yesterday afternoon, where it rose to at least 53, the number of casualties of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, the bodies of many of them the regime forces were not able to withdraw, in addition to separating heads of members from their bodies in al-Dahra school east of Jabin after they were killed during the battles, also it rose to 48, the number of fighters who were killed during the aerial and ground bombardment and clashes in Hama countryside, including at least 21 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, and among the jihadists there is a fighter who blew himself up using a booby trapped vehicle in Karnaz area.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1228, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 7th of June 2019, and they are: 357 civilians including 86 children and 76 citizen women, and they are 49 including 15 children and 16 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 36 including 8 women and 4 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 195 including 40 women, 51 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 55 people including 8 women and 6 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 22 citizens including 10 children and 4 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 494 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 377 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the heaviest continuous escalation on its 48th day, to 1378 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 7th of June 2019, they are 407 civilians including 100 children and 84 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 26 civilian casualties including 10 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 509 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 443 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 7th of June 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1757 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 645 civilians including 170 children under the age of eighteen and 140 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 50 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 10 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 580 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 369 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 532 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 1989 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 725 civilians including 200 children and 152 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 52 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 647 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 384 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 614 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
