A strategic village in the north-western countryside of Hama witnesses fierce battles against the backdrop of the continued attack by the rebel and jihadi factions

The battles are continuing between the jihadi and rebel factions on one hand, against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on the other, in the area of Al-Jalmah village in the north-western countryside of Hama, where the village is witnessing hit-and-run clashes between the both parties in an attempt by the jihadists and the factions to take the control of the strategic village after the attack that they launched hours ago, and which was initiated with preliminary heavy rocket shelling by tens of missiles accompanied by the detonation of a booby-trapped vehicle driven by a suicidal bomber carried out by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, amid heavy aerial and ground bombardment by the regime forces on the clash areas in the north-western countryside of Hama, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 65 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, who were killed on Saturday during the attacks, detonation of a booby-trapped vehicle, destruction of vehicles and tanks, and clashes against the jihadi factions and groups northwest of Hama, also it rose to 48, the number of fighters including 17 of the rebel and Islamic factions, who were killed in the aerial and land bombardment and clashes within the same battles, thus, it rose to 215, the number of those who have been killed since the start of the attack by the factions and jihadi groups in Thursday’s afternoon in the north-western countryside of Hama accompanied by heavy air and ground strikes, they are: 118 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 97 fighters including 40 of the rebel and Islamic factions including Abdul Baset al-Sarout, the commander in Jaysh al-Izza, and in the same context, areas in Kafr Zita town in the northern countryside of Hama were shelled by missiles loaded with the incendiary phosphorus, in addition, it rose to 780 at least, the number of shells and missiles fired today by the regime forces on the southern countryside of Idlib, Jabal Al-Akrad and both northern and north-western countryside of Hama, the SOHR also monitored the rise of the airstrikes’ number, where it rose to 45, the number of raids carried out by the Russian warplanes on areas in al-Zakat, Hasraya, al-Arba’in, Latmin, and Kafr Zita in the northern countryside of Hama, and Tremla and Kawkaba in Jabal Shashabo and the clash areas northwest of Hama, also it rose to 130, the number of raids carried out by regime’s warplanes since after midnight of yesterday until now, which targeted places in Jbala, Khan Shaykhun, al-Hbit, Hass, outskirts of Karsa’a, Sfuhen, Ma’aret Hurmah, Kafr Aweed in the southern countryside of Idlib, and Hasraya, Morek, al-Hbit, and Kafr Zita in the northern countryside of Hama, in addition to the clash areas northwest of Hama, and it rose to 70, the number of barrel bombs dropped by helicopters on Saturday, targeting Kabani in Jabal al-Akrad, Sheikh Mustafa, Naqir, Al-Taman’aa, Al-Hbit, Arinbeh, Abdeen and Maarrat al-Nu’man south of Idlib, and Hasraya, Tal Melh, Abu Ra’idah and Kafr Zita north of Hama, the Syrian Observatory also documented 4 people who were killed today, they are: a man and a woman were killed in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Kafr Nubl town south of Idlib, a child was killed in bombardment by regime’s warplanes on Maarrat al-Nu’man city, and a person died in shelling by the factions on Shizer village which is under the control of the regime forces north of Hama, while 2 fighters were killed today, Saturday, one of whom died affected by the injury he had due to rocket targeting carried out yesterday by the regime forces on Kabana area, and the other one was killed after being hit by a sniper fire by the regime forces in the area of Abu Al-Duhur in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1348, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 8th of June 2019, and they are: 361 civilians including 87 children and 77 citizen women, and they are 49 including 15 children and 16 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 36 including 8 women and 4 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 198 including 41 women, 52 children, and a member of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 55 people including 8 women and 6 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 23 citizens including 10 children and 4 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, while at least 545 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling, in addition to the killing of 442 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And with the fall of more casualties, the death toll rises in the  heaviest continuous escalation on its 49th day, to 1498 people in the period since the morning of the 20th of April 2019, until the 8th of June 2019, they are 411 civilians including 101 children and 85 women, were killed in the Russian air bombardment and regime forces’ shelling on areas in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Idlib, including 27 civilian casualties including 10 children and 5 citizen women were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions on Aleppo city, al-Hadir town south of Aleppo, al-Khandeq village, and al-Suqaylabiyah town in Hama countryside, and 19 people were killed in the explosion of a truck loaded with high-explosive materials owned by the jihadi groups in Jisr al-Shughur city west of Idlib, and 560 of the jihadi groups and the factions were killed in attacks and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 508 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in attacks by the jihadi groups on several areas of the demilitarized area.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 8th of June 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 1877 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 649 civilians including 171 children under the age of eighteen and 141 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 51 people including 16 children under the age of eighteen and 10 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 659 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 409 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 597 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 2106 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 729 civilians including 201 children and 153 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 53 people including 16 children and 8 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 726 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 424 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 679 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
