Battle of the 3 villages northwest Hama kills 266 of the regime forces, Jihadis, and the factions within 72 hours of clashes accompanied by about 4000 air and ground strikes

The relative calm prevails areas of battles between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions and the jihadi groups, after bloody clashes in areas in the northwestern countryside of Hama started on the afternoon of Thursday, the 6th of April 2019, through an attack by the factions and the Jihadis on the areas of al-Jabin, Tal Meleh, and Kafrhoud, and after launching hundreds of missiles and shells they were able within a few hours to control the targeted areas and by controlling Tal Meleh they closed the highway of al-Suqaylabiyah – Muhradah, while the regime forces carried out a counterattack with the ground and air Russian support, hoping to recover these areas, but they could only recover Kafrhoud with the dawn on Friday, where on Friday the regime forces carried out new attempts to regain the strategic village of Tal Meleh but they were surprised by new attacks by the factions in another area north of Tal Meleh, which is al-Jalma area and then the clashes moved there after the Jihadis carried out a bombing in the area, after which a hit-and-run operation and an exchange of control took place between both parties, where the factions barley control the village then the regime forces recover it; with an intense air and ground cover by the Russians during clash which lasted more than 36 hours, but the regime forces were able eventually to hold control of their sites in al-Jalmah but failed to restore Tal Meleh and al-Jabin after the attrition battles that lasted more than 72 hours.

The Battle of the 3 villages which killed tens of fighters of both parties was accompanied by more than 600 airstrikes during the 72 hours, in addition to more than 3200 ground strikes by both parties, and the Observatory documented heavy casualties in these battles, where 266 were killed since the start of the attack carried out by the jihad groups and factions after the afternoon of Thursday, the 6th of June 2019, in the northwestern countryside of Hama, accompanied by intense air and ground strikes until after the afternoon of Sunday the 9th of the same month, they are 147 of the regime forces and their loyal militias, and 119 fighters including 50 of the rebel and Islamic factions, including Abdelbaset al-Sarout, the commander in Jaysh al-Izza.
