Syria: Israel strikes Iran base overnight, 5 reported dead
Israel has launched missiles against an air base in central Syria after attacking yesterday morning another base in the south of the country, killing 10 people, according to Syrian State television.
The Israeli raid reportedly hit a base of Iranian and Syrian government forces (Tayfur, also known as T4), containing a depot of weapons regularly transported by cargo planes from Iran. The raid’s victims are reportedly five, including Syrian soldiers, according to the UK-based monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human rights. The reports cannot be independently verified on the ground.
