As tension continues in al-Sanamin city, new targeting of sites and points of the regime forces and their intelligence in the eastern countryside of Daraa

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: tension continues in al-Sanamin city in the northern countryside of Daraa, against the background of the alert by the regime forces and their security services in the city after the abduction of 2 members of the regime forces and a nurse at the al-Sanamin Military Hospital yesterday, while the Syrian Observatory learned that the regime reopened the city’s entrances and allowed the entry and exit to and from al-Sanamin this morning, after they banned the exit yesterday, this came in conjunction with intensive patrols of the regime forces in the city, in addition to setting new checkpoints there, and in the same context, the Observatory learned that the regime forces reinforced their points and fortified them in al-Hirak town in the eastern countryside of Daraa, after unidentified gunmen detonated the center of the township in the area, but no information about casualties, while unknown gunmen dropped a grenade at the regime forces’ State Security detachment in Mahjeh town east of Daraa, but no information about casualties yet, and the Syrian Observatory published that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new tension in al-Sanamin city in Daraa countryside, where the regime forces blocked the exiting from the city, and set new checkpoints against the backdrop of kidnapping 2 members of the regime forces by unknown gunmen, in addition to a nurse in al-Sanamin military hospital, where the regime forces gave a time limit for the kidnappers to release the members and the nurse, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 23rd of May 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the regime forces have lift today evening the siege imposed over Al-Sanamayn city 8 days after blocking the roads to the city and after preventing the entry or the exit of anyone from or into it and preventing the entry of foodstuff, and this action (the siege lifting) comes after a visit by a delegation of Hauran’s dignitaries today afternoon with the Russian forces to the city in order to reach an agreement with the regime forces to settle the dispute and lift the siege imposed over it, and the SOHR published hours ago, that the siege imposed by the regime forces on al-Sanamayn city in Daraa countryside entered its 8th consecutive day, where many foodstuffs started to run out as the regime forces prevent the entry and exit of goods to and from the city, while efforts are underway to reach an agreement that would break the siege and bring things back to what it used to be, and in the same context within the Daraa countryside, the Syrian Observatory learned from reliable sources that fighters of the “settlement and reconciliation” factions took control of al-Mziraa and al-Ray checkpoint and the military security detachment in the western countryside of Daraa, after they expelled members of the regime forces protesting against regime’s arrest of a former faction leader, who had “reconciled and settlement” and later joined the 4th Division, sources added to the Syrian Observatory that the leader was soon released and the “reconciliation” factions withdrew from the checkpoints they controlled and the situation returned to normal in the area.

And the Syrian Observatory published yesterday, that it learned that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a former fighter in Al-Mu’tazz Brigade who reconciled with the regime forces earlier, at the outskirts of Al-Muzayrib town and no information was reported so far about the reasons and circumstances of his death, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 21st of May 2019, that the siege imposed by the regime forces on al-Sanamayn city in the countryside of Daraa province entered its 7th consecutive day, amid continuous tension and cautious calm all over the city, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the regime forces allowed university students to get out of the city, but they still prevent the entry and exit of staff, civilians, and foodstuffs to and from the city, amid fears of a new escalation that leads to an armed conflicts in the area in which the Syrian citizen is the biggest loser, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the regime forces met with the Central Committee in Hauran in order to lift the siege imposed by the regime forces on the town, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the regime forces accepted to lift the siege on the town providing that the persons who opened fire yesterday on the security box to be handed over, but the Central Committee in Hauran and through a former commander in the rebel factions who is now a member in the committee, refused to hand over the wanted and demanded the intervention of the Russian forces to settle the disagreement, thus, the regime forces maintained the siege to be imposed until now after the committee’s refusal to their request, and the Syrian Observatory published today morning, the 20th of May 2019, that widespread public tension and discontent continue within al-Sanamayn city in Daraa countryside, as regime forces’ siege of the city enters its 5th consecutive day, where the regime forces are preventing the entry of foodstuffs, in addition to preventing the entry and exit of staff and other people to and from the city, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory learned that a citizen died of a heart attack on Sunday due to the clashes that took place in al-Sanamayn yesterday, which caused panic and intimidated the people, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory documented the death of an old man affected by wounds he had in shooting during clashes between unknown gunmen and the regime forces in the security box in al-Sanamayn town, while the cautious calm prevails the town amid bringing military reinforcements by the regime forces to the town, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory monitored that unknown gunmen believed to belong to the so-called “Popular Resistance” attacked positions of the regime forces in the security box in al-Sanamayn town, where shooting was heard and information about casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, it worth mentioning that al-Sanamayn town has been witnessing a siege since about 4 days by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces has been preventing the entry and exit of staff to and from al-Sanamayn town, in addition to preventing the workers from going out to work in the capital and prevent the entry of foodstuffs.
