Idlib: Five Civilians Killed in Regime Airstrikes

The airstrikes by the Syrian regime on Saturday resulted in the killing of five civilians in Idlib, northwestern Syria, a monitor said.

Three children were mong the victims in Idlib, a region supposedly protected by a September of last year buffer zone deal, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Two children were killed in a garage on the edge of Maaret al-Numan town and another in the village of Maar Zita, the human rights group added.

According to the monitor, the rest of the civilians were killed in Kansafra and Khan al-Subul villages.

Syria has been suffering from a civil war since 2011. Millions of people have been displaced and nearly 500,000 others were killed by the conflict.
