The war’s remnants kill 3 children after the explosion of a landmine at the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood of Damascus

Damascus Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 3 children as a result of the explosion of a landmine of the war’s remnants at the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood east of the capital Damascus, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; 3 children under the age of eighteen including 2 sibling children, were killed, and another one was injured due to a landmine explosion yesterday, while they were working in a workshop for rehabilitating one of the damaged buildings in Al-Dabbaghat area at the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 23rd of June 2019, that the regime forces are continuing to prevent the locals of Jubar neighborhood of Damascus from entering their houses, although more than a year has been passed since they imposed their control over the area and the entire cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta, and local sources informed the SOHR, that the locals of Jubar neighborhood go to some officers in the regime forces and their members who are responsible for the area, in order to facilitate their entry to the neighborhood to check the conditions of their houses for few minuets, in return for sums of money varying between 10000 and 15000 SYL, also the residents are prevented from entering their houses unless being accompanied by members of the regime forces, also they are prevented from walking around in the neighborhood or using cameras while being inside it, it is noteworthy that the regime forces imposed their control over Jubar neighborhood and the cities of the Eastern Ghouta in early 2018, after battles which lasted for months, and which ended with forced displacement deals against the opposition factions and those who reject the agreement, to the Syrian North.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of June 2019, that the Syrian Observatory learned from local resources that the 4th Division of the regime forces -which controls Muadamiyat al-Sham city in the west of Rif Dimashq- imposed security clearances on the city’s residents and displaced people, in order to be allowed to exit and enter the city, under the risk of accountability and expelling the violators, the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the security office of the 4th Division prevents the entry and exit of the city’s residents and displaced people without the security clearance issued by it, in addition to the suffering of the displaced people in getting back to the security branches and issuing the approval which will enable them to move, it worth mentioning that residents of the city and the displaced people who chose the “reconciliation and settlement” with the regime forces during the displacement agreement in 2016; had received security approvals that allow them to get out and in the city, and the number of displaced people in Muadamiyat al-Sham is estimated to be about 45000 people from various Syrian provinces that witnessed military operations.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of June 2019 that the security branches of the regime forces carried out an arrest operation in Aqraba town in the south of Rif Dimashq, where they arrested 10 people the most notable of them is the former local council president, who was active during the opposition factions’ control of towns south of Rif Damascus, in addition to the arrest of 9 former members of Jaysh al-Islam who carried out “reconciliation and settlements”, against the backdrop of their fight against the faction before the “reconciliation” agreement in May 2018, where they had returned from the towns of Yalda, Babbila, and Beit Saham south of Damascus which are under the “Military Security Division’s” control; to their town in Aqraba, after receiving the approval of the “Air Intelligence” which controls it, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 13th of June 2019 that the Syrian regime’s security services arrested 2 commanders of the “settlement” in Qudsaya city west of Damascus, and in details obtained by the Observatory: regime’s intelligence arrested 2 commanders of Shuhada’a al-Asimah Brigade faction during the faction’s control of Qudsaya city, and who later carried out “settlement” and joined the Republican Guard of the regime forces, and the sources told the Syrian Observatory that the arrest came because of a criminal proceedings that accuses them of “intentional killing of members and informants of the regime” during the factions’ control of the area at the time, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 30th of May 2019 that regime’s security services arrest a commander of the National Defense in Yabroud city due to actions of looting, thefts and killing citizens

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the regime’s security services have arrested the commander of the “National Defense” militiamen of the regime forces in Yabroud city in the western Qalamoun north of the capital Damascus, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the commander was arrested in Yabroud city with 2 of his escorts after members affiliated to the air force intelligence branch raided his house after complaints by locals and with support of party figures and dignitaries in Yabroud, where they accused the commander of actions of looting and thefts of houses and supervising kidnappings and extortions against the locals and residents of the city, in addition, members of the intelligence raided warehouses and headquarters belong to the commander hours after arresting him, where the body of a citizen was found, and the body is of a citizen who members affiliated to the commander in the National Defense, had kidnapped before early May, and asked his family for a ransom in return for releasing him.

And the Syrian Observatory published on the 21st of May 2019, that itlearned from several reliable sources that regime’s security branches carried out raids in the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta, and arrested tens of youths and men, and in details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: patrols of the Air Intelligence Branch raided several houses in the towns of Saqba, Hamoryah, and Beit Sawa, and they arrested several people and took them to the branch of the Air Force Intelligence in Harasta city east of Damascus, and the security services arrested 2 youths at the outskirts of Maliha town south of the Eastern Ghouta, specifically, at al-Noor military checkpoint, which separates the Eastern Ghouta and the capital Damascus, and they were arrested while they were heading to the capital Damascus, sources informed the Syrian Observatory that most of the detainees were previously within the ranks of the Rahman Corps faction, where more than 35 people were arrested during the last few hours and days, and in the same context in the Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta; the Syrian Observatory learned that the “State Security branch” arrested 2 young residents of the city after families of members of the regime forces filed lawsuits against them on charges of “intentional killing of their children during the clash that took place in the area over the past years.”

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 11th of May 2019 that hundreds of young men and boys of Rif Dimashq who were former fighters of the factions during their control of the area and subsequently carried out “reconciliation and settlement” after the regime forces controlled it; are now on the fighting fronts alongside the regime forces in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama, in addition to mountains of the coast, after regime’s authorities pulled them out of their military barracks on several stages during the last weeks, where the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 13 fighters of the “reconciliation and settlement” factions of the people of al-Zakyah, al-Kiswah, and Douma in Rif Dimashq, since the beginning of the heaviest escalation within “de-escalation” area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 30th of April 2019 that reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime’s intelligence services have transferred tens of detainees of the people of the Eastern Ghouta to Sednaya Military Prison, after interrogation had been accomplished in the security branches after arresting them on various charges after the regime forces had imposed their control over the area and after the exit of the military factions from the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and evacuating them to the Syrian North, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the detainees who were taken to Sednaya Prison, were detained in Al-Khateeb branch in the capital Damascus, and the Air Force Intelligence’s branch in Harasta city, and both branches are affiliated to the Air Force Intelligence, where the number of detainees exceeded 100, most of them were former fighters in the rebel and Islamic factions which fought against the regime forces in the Eastern Ghouta, and they were arrested although they struck “reconciliation and settlement deals” and received guarantees that they would not be targeted by the security branches, where they had been transferred to Sednaya after being questioned in the security branches and after proving the charges directed to them of engaging in clashes against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in the past years during the opposition factions’ control over the Eastern Ghouta.
