More than 100 airstrikes by warplanes of the regime and the Russians leave tens of civilian casualties and injuries on the 73rd day of the heaviest escalation
The Syrian Observatory documented the death of 5 citizens including a child in a massacre carried out by regime’s warplanes which bombed Jisr al-Shughur city in the western countryside of Idlib, also the shelling injured 8 citizens, while more than 19 people were injured -including 7 children- in air raids by regime’s warplanes targeted al-Kefir village west of Idlib, while the violent clashes continue between the regime forces and their loyal militias against the factions and the jihadi groups, in al-Hamamiyyat area northwest of Hama, where the factions desperately continue to confront the regime forces in restoring the village and its hill despite the Russian support and intense ground and air strikes, amid confirmed information about more casualties and injuries ion the ranks of both parties.
In the same context, regime’s helicopters dropped about 25 barrel bombs on al-Hamamiyyat area at the northwestern countryside of Hama, also it rose to 47, the number of raids carried out by the Russian warplanes which targeted Khan Shaykhun in southern countryside of Idlib, al-Lataminah and al-Arba’in in the northern countryside of Hama, and al-Ziyara, Sermaniyyeh, and Hamamiyyat area northwest of Hama, and Kabani and the hills of al-Zwiqat, Syriatel, and Tal al-Kheder in the northern countryside of Latakia, and the Syrian Observatory learned that several raids by Russian warplanes directly targeted the Civil Defense Center in Khan Shaykhun city causing great damage, while it rose to 600 at least, the number of ground strikes carried out by the regime forces on the clash areas in al-Hamamiyyat northwest of Hama and other areas in northern countryside of Hama, in the same context, the factions targeted tens of missiles places in al-Qassabiyyeh, Kafr Nabudah, al-Moghir, Karnaz, and other places controlled by the regime forces in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama and the far south of Idlib.
And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 2375, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 10th of July 2019, and they are: 613 civilians including 156 children and 124 citizen women, and they are 70 including 20 children and 19 women, and 2 of the civil defense were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 56 including 13 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 362 including 97 children, 66 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 80 people including 16 women and 10 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 45 citizens including 19 children and 9 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Kernaz, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 919 of the jihadi groups were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling including 585 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 843 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 10th of July 2019, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 2904 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 900 civilians including 242 children under the age of eighteen and 188 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 73 people including 25 children under the age of eighteen and 16 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1005 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 630 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 999 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 3133 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 981 civilians including 270 children and 202 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 75 people including 25 children and 15 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1072 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 644 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1080 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
