Unidentified men assassinate YPG leader in al-Raqqah city as part of the escalation of the security chaos in SDF-controlled area

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that unidentified gunmen assassinated a YPG leader by shooting him Friday morning in al-Raqqah city, which instantly killed him, and in the same context, the body of a woman was found on the outskirts of the Eastern Jerthi village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor with the gunfire in it, and with the fall of more casualties, it rose to 315 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties, the number of people killed in areas within the 4 provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to Manbij area in the northeast of Aleppo Province, which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces, where the Syrian Observatory monitored these cells assassinating 88 civilians including 4 children and 3 women in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area, in addition to the assassination of 222 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces including local leaders in the same areas, and 4 members of International Coalition were killed, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human monitored the injury of tens of people due to these assassinations.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 10th of July 2019 that 2 unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle killed a man in Gharanij town which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor by firing at him, where the man is an expatriate civilian outside of Syria and came to visit his relatives in the town.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 2nd of July 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of a Sheikh of a clan close to the Syria Democratic Forces in mysterious circumstances, where his body was found inside his home in al-Ali Bajelyeh village north of al-Raqqah city, and a rifle was placed on the body at dawn on Tuesday, sources told the Syrian Observatory that this incident may be have been caused by him while he was tampering with his weapon while he was cleaning it, where the Sheikh Obaid al-Hassan occupied many positions in the self-administration, the Syria Democratic Forces, and the Civil Council in al-Raqqah, and he is considered the sheikh of al-Bu Assaf clan in al-Raqqah Province, and had a prominent role in working with the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces for more  than one year, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 29th of June 2019 that an explosion shook al-Shuhayl town in the eastern sector of Deir countryside, it was caused by the explosion of a an IED in a vehicle belongs to the Syria Democratic Forces in the town, but no information about casualties yet, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 27th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory learned that fighters from “Hajin Regiment” of the Syria Democratic Forces slaughtered a member of the “Islamic State” Organization’s cells and hung it on one of the squares in Hajin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the body belongs to the member who killed the commander of Hajin Regiment after a raid by the commander of the regiment accompanied by his escorts on a house in which an ISIS cell is located, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received new information, where the raid took place after the commander of Hajin Regiment received information from the uncle of one of the members of the cell, and when the force arrived at the house; that member opened fire of his machinegun which killed the Regiment’s commander, the uncle of the member, and SDF members, also that member and another member of Arab nationality were killed.

The Syrian Observatory published this afternoon that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a new targeting process targeted a commander of the Syria Democratic Forces in Deir Ezzor Province, in the context of the continuous attacks and targeting by the “Islamic State” cells which are active in the province, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: snipers of ISIS cells positioned in a house at Hajin city targeted the commander of Hajin Regiment of the SDFF and his escorts, which killed him and 4 of his escorts, followed by clashes between SDF members and members of the cell, after which several members of the cell were killed and others were arrested, and the sources told the Syrian Observatory that members of Hajin Regiment along with the city’s residents roamed with one of the bodies of the cell in the streets of Hajin.
