Despite carrying out more than 58000 air and ground strikes in 81 days, the Syrian regime and its Russian ally continue to fail in leading military operations which succeeded only in killing and displacing hundreds of thousands of Syrians

The Russian and regime’s most violent military operation in “Putin – Erdogan” area entered its 81st day, where it was started on the 30th of April 2019, this operation proves its failure by all standards and confirms it day after day, despite the unlimited Russian support for the forces the militias loyal to it led by Suhail al-Hasan, known as the “Tiger”, where the regime forces, its warplanes, helicopters and Russian partner’s warplanes carried out about 58 thousand air and land strike by the regime forces, warplanes, helicopters, and its Russian partner’s warplanes, (11969 raids and barrel bombs and 45850 missile and artillery shells), but they could not (i.e. the regime forces) advance except in 20 areas within the countryside of Hama and Idlib, and they are: they are al-Qassabiyyeh, Humayrat, al-Hardana, al-Qaroutiyyah, Qiratah, Qal’aat al-Madiq, al-Karakat, Twinah, Kafr Nabudah, al-Bana, Tal Osman, al-Mestriha, al-Sharia, Bab al-Taqa, al-Jabriya, Tal Hawash, al-Tawba, Sheikh Idris, al-Muhajreen, al-Hamraa, and Hwaiz.

It seems that the failure of the “spoiled Tiger of Russia” Brig. Gen. Suhail al-Hasan, whose leadership the Syrian regime caused the loss of more than 325 of its forces in battle of the 3 villages in the northwestern countryside of Hama in short time, during which he failed to restore 2 villages northwest of Hama, it seems that his eyes turned to another areas for which he is preparing in coordination with the Russians to start military operations, which may pardon his repeated defeats in “Putin – Erdogan” area where the new escalation again within the triangle of Hama – Idlib – Latakia countryside opens the door to a new attrition battle expected to happen after the arrival of reinforcements for the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the Jihadi factions and the Turkestani Islamic Party.

The factions, in turn, have not stood still after the massive military reinforcements that the regime forces brought over the past few days towards Joureen Camp west of Hama, where the factions for the 4th day in a row are targeting the camp with hundreds of missiles with an unprecedented escalation, trying to case casualties and damage in the ranks of the regime forces, while “Putin – Erdogan” area is witnessing a noticeable decline in air and ground shelling.

However, the operation of the Russians and the regime has been successful in other aspects: displacing about 500000 Syrian civilians from their homes and areas against the backdrop of the barbaric shelling by the Russians and the regime, where large part of them are staying out in the open in nearby agricultural lands, others displaced to their relatives in Idlib and the northern and northwestern countryside of Aleppo, and another section resorted to the border camps with Iskenderun, also the Russians and the regime have been able to destroy 19 hospitals and health centers since the start of the most violent escalation, mostly by Russian strikes, and they are: Jesr al-Shughur hospital, Kiwan hospital in Kafr Aweed, the hospitals of al-Sham Central Hospital, Kafr Nubl Surgical Hospital, al-Sayyidah Mariam, al-Khatib, the Orient in Kafr Nubl, Nabd al-Hayat Hospital in Hass, al-Tah Hospital, Sarja Hospital, Hospital 112 in Qal’aat al-Madiq, al-Maghara Hospital and Sham Hospital in al-Lataminah town, as well as health centers in Kafr Nabudah, Ma’aret Hurmah, al-Hbit, al-Rakaya, ands Kafruma, in addition to using internationally forbidden materials by the regime forces during their ground bombardment, which burned thousands of dunums of the agricultural lands south and west of Khan Shaykhun city, al-Hbit, Abdeen, outskirts of Kafrsajna, Kafr Ain, and other areas within the southern sector of Idlib countryside, and Hersh al-Skibiyyeh, Tal Hadaya, and the ICARDA in the southern countryside of Aleppo, as well as al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, not to mention the looting operations by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the areas they controlled; through robbing houses, shops, and agricultural crops of the civilians.

The regime of Bashar al-Assad and his Russian partner have not had enough with just all of that, so they claimed the lives of hundreds of Syrian civilians, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement until yesterday, the death of 616 civilians including 153 children and 122 citizen women, and they are: 79 including 24 children and 21 women, another woman and two of her children, were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 57 including 14 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 391 including 103 children, 70 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 88 people including 16 women and 13 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces.

And during the same period at least 962 of the fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s shelling including 606 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 904 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.
