US charges three with supporting Daesh

A US court in New York charged three Brooklyn residents of supporting Daesh (ISIS) and planning to fight in the Syrian conflict, Reuters reported.

The men, of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan nationalities, had plans to travel to Syria and pledge their allegiance to Daesh, a US attorney told Reuters.

Nineteen-year-old Akhror Saidakhmetov, of Kazakhstan, and 24-year-old Abdurasul Hasanovich Juraboev, of Uzbekistan, were allegedly willing to carry out attacks on US soil. They will face a Brooklyn federal court on later on Wednesday.

Saidakhmetov was arrested at the John F. Kennedy International Airport where he attempted to board a flight to Turkey.

Uzbekistan native Abror Habibov, 30, was charged of funding Saidakhmetov’s trip, prosecutors told Reuters. Habibov will face a federal court in Florida.
