With support from the International Coalition, the forces controlling Ghwyran neighborhood in al-Hasakah city carry out a massive security operation and arrest more than 100 person mostly of ISIS cells and confiscate large number of weapons

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that a major security operation took place against cells of the “Islamic State” organization, in Ghwyran neighborhood in al-Hasakah city, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: joint forces between the anti-terrorism forces, self-defense, YPG, and the fast intervention forces supported by forces of the International Coalition; carried out a large-scale security operation in Ghwyran neighborhood during the late hours of the night, after which they arrested more than 100 people mostly members of the “Islamic State” organization’s cells, confiscated a large amount of weapons, and transferred them to the investigation, the sources added to the Syrian Observatory that this operation came after several intelligence information collected during the previous period, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 31st of July 2019 that a large force of the Syria Democratic Forces consists of several columns and supported by the International Coalition; carried out several raids during the late hours of the night in the vicinity of al-Busayrah area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, as part of the large-scale security operations of SDF and the Coalition in the east Euphrates area, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: a force of SDF went to al-Shuhayl town and arrested 4 people of one family who are cells of the “Islamic State” organization who were fighters in the Organization, also another person was arrested in the town, while a second force carried out raids on the outskirts of al-Busayrah city and arrested 2 of the cells of the “Islamic State” Organization in addition to 7 civilians, including a man, his son, and 4 displaced people of the same family, while a third force of the Syria Democratic Forces headed towards al-Rez village, and carried out a raid and arrested more than 20 person in the village and some of them are old men, it worth mentioning that one of the people from al-Rez village had killed a displaced young man from al-Baghuz yesterday on charges of “cooperating with the Coalition” and giving coordinates to location of ISIS cells who were bombed 2 days ago.

The Syrian Observatory published yesterday that a helicopters affiliated to the International Coalition have targeted a cell of the “Islamic State” organization that was hiding in Hawijat Al-Busayrah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in the killing of 5 of the cell’s members of the Syrian nationality amid information about the killing of a sixth non-Syrian member, it is noteworthy that this targeting is the first of kind since the announcement about the elimination of the organization as a controlling power in the east of the Euphrates, and the SOHR published yesterday, Sunday, that the security operation continues by the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against cells of the “Islamic State” Organization, which are spread very heavily within the east Euphrates area, where the Syrian Observatory learned that a force of the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition arrested on Sunday morning 5 people of the Organization’s cells in al-Raqqah cityand the SOHR published on the 27th of July 2019, that a large force of tens of the SDF members backed by the International Coalition and its aircraft, raided the towns of Abu Hamam and Al-Keshkiyyah in the countryside of Deir Ezzot province, where more than 30 persons of the cells of the “Islamic State” organization and people who have relations with the regime forces, have been arrested, also large amount of weapons and ammunition has been confiscated, while a person was killed after being shot by the raiding forces, and there is no confirmed information so far about the identity of this killed person whether he is of ISIS cells or a citizen, and the SOHR published on the 25th of July 2019, that it monitored the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition continue their security operations against cells of the “Islamic State” organization within the east Euphrates area, in light of the great activity of the Organization’s cells in the area, where a force of the Syria Democratic Forces supported by members of the Coalition and the flight of International Coalition helicopters; raided villages of al-Attala, al-Tarqiyyeh, al-Gharb, Tal Ahmar, al-Jellu, Ajajah, and other villages located on al-Hasakah – Deir Ezzor road, where several people were arrested and taken to a destination still unknown, and no information about the identity of the people yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of July 2019 that security operations continue against cells of the “Islamic State” organization within the east Euphrates area, where the Syrian Observatory learned that special units of the Syria Democratic Forces raided during the past hours Jub al-Ashra of Manbij city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, and managed to arrest a commander of the “Islamic State” Organization and his brother who used to be within the infiltration groups of the “Islamic State” Organization and worked in securing weapons to the Organization, while the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the anti-terrorism forces of the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” arrested a person in al-Raqqah city, he is the “Fuel Official” of the “Islamic State” Organization when it used to control the city, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 17th of July 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a force of the International Coalition and the Syria Democratic Forces raided al-Busayrah village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in order to arrest a cell of the “Islamic State” Organization in the village, after which clashes took place for long hours since midnight until the first morning hours where warplanes of the International Coalition intervened and targeted the center of the cell which refused to surrender, and he Syrian Observatory documented the killing of one of the group’s most prominent leaders in the area during the operation, and information about other casualties of the Syria Democratic Forces and the cell, and in the same context during the night hours as well, a cell belongs to the “Islamic State” Organization attacked al-Omar oilfield, in which there are leaders of the Coalition and an airport used by the Coalition, where clashes took place between guards of the airport and the cell which caused casualties in the ranks of both parties, where 4 at least of the SDF were killed and members of the Coalition forces were injured, and this attack is considered one of the most violent and largest attacks carried out by the Organization against al-Omar oilfield and the airport inside it.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 12th of Juky 2019, that a new air drop took place in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor on Thursday evening, where Coalition planes carried out an air drop accompanied by a force of the Syria Democratic Forces in the area between al-Suwar town and Abu al-Nitel village, where a person was killed believed to be of ISIS cells after being pursued in the desert of the area, and local sources told the Syrian Observatory that a citizen was also arrested of Tajammou’ al-Sab’ei in the area, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 7th of July 2019 that the International Coalition aircraft carried out an airdrop in a village in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor and arrested a commander of the “Islamic State” organization, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; a ground force of the International Coalition with the participation of the Syria Democratic Forces, encircled Al-Harijiyeh village in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, then the International Coalition aircraft carried out an airdrop on one of the houses in the village and arrested an ISIS commander of non-Syrian nationality, in addition to arresting three others who were hiding the commander in their house.

And the SOHR published on the 4th of July 2019, that the Syria Democratic Forces continue to carry out security operations of raids and detentions within their controlled areas in Deir Ezzor province, in the light of the security chaos that prevails their areas such as the continuous activity of the “Islamic State” cells, and the Syrian Observatory monitored a raid carried out by a force of the SDF against a house rented by a displaced person from al-Bokamal city near al-Safa mosque in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the force arrested him and his family in addition to arresting a man of an Iraqi nationality who was in the house, they also confiscated an Internet device, electricity generators, and a car, and the Syrian Observatory published yesterday evening that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Syria Democratic Forces carried out a campaign of raids and arrests that targeted about 30 persons from the displaced people of Khesham village in Al-Izba village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, without knowing the reasons for these arrests, and the SOHR published today evening, that the Syria Democratic Forces arrested 20 former fighters of the “Islamic State” organization in the north-western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; a military force of the SDF carried out a campaign of raids and arrests in the villages of Adaman, M’eizileh and Al-Izbah north-west of Deir Ezzor city, which targeted at least 20 young men accused of belonging to the organization formerly.
