The first 18 hours of ceasefire: a complete cessation of airstrikes amid several violations by the regime forces and the jihadi groups via more than 250 shells and missiles

The new ceasefire agreement within “Putin – Erdogan” area spent its first 18 hours in complete absence of airstrikes by warplanes of the Russian guarantor and the regime, amid relative calm in the 4 sectors of the “de-escalation” area; except for renewed violations from time to time by the regime forces and the Jihadi groups through an exchange of missile shelling, where it rose to about 250, the number of shells and missiles exchanged by both parties, where the regime forces targeted since morning Khan Shaykhun south of Idlib, al-Zakat, al-Arba’in, al-Lataminah, Kafr Zeta, and Latmin in the northern countryside of Hama, while the jihadi groups shelled areas in the vicinity of Joureen Camp, Tal Hawash, and other places northwest of Hama, and in the same in the context, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham issued a statement confirming its commitment to the ceasefire agreement; and that this agreement is cancelled if it is violated by the regime, and that it will respond and re-shell and target regime forces’-controlled areas.

The Syrian Observatory published this afternoon that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a person in the fall of rocket shells launched by the jihadi groups this morning on Bashlama area in the vicinity of al-Qardaha in Latakia countryside, also others were injured in the same targeting, and in the same context, the cautious calm continues within the “de-escalation” area amid total absence of Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes as well for 12 hours from the skies of the area, but this calm is interrupted by the fall of more rocket shells launched by the regime forces on al-Zakat and al-Arba’in in the northern countryside of Hama, raising to about 70, the numbers of rocket shells launched by the regime since Friday morning and targeted places in al-Zakat, al-Arba’in,  Latmin, and the vicinity of al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama.

And the Syrian Observatory had monitored this morning that several violations of the new ceasefire agreement within “Putin – Erdogan” area, represented by the fall of rocket shells launched by the jihadi groups on the vicinity of al-Qardaha area, which is the birthplace of the Syrian regime’s President, Bashar al-Assad, in Latakia countryside, also the regime forces targeted by about 50 shells and missiles on Friday morning places in al-Zakat, al-Arba’in, Latmin, and al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, while the criminal planes of the Russians and the Syrian regime are still absent from the atmosphere “de-escalation” area for more than 10 hours, where the Syrian Observatory published this morning, that cautious calm continues within the entire “de-escalation” area during the first day of the ceasefire, where regime’s warplanes as well as the Russian “guarantor’s” warplanes are still absent from the skies since just before midnight of yesterday.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 2916, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 2nd of August 2019, and they are: 864 civilians including 215 children and 160 citizen women, and they are 149 including 31 children and 35 women, and 6 of the civil defense and 3 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 63 including 15 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 473 including 130 children, 80 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 104 people including 19 women and 19 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 75 citizens including 25 children and 13 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1069 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 669 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 982 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 2nd of August 2019, the and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3445 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1150 civilians including 297 children under the age of eighteen and 224 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 101 people including 30 children under the age of eighteen and 17 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1155 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 714 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1139 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 3675 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1233 civilians including 326 children and 238 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 102 people including 30 children and 16 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1222 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 727 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1219 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
