Exchange of shells breaks the cautious calm in “Putin – Erdogan” area amid the flight of reconnaissance drones over the area

The Jihadi factions targeted using several rocket shells locations of the regime forces in Tal Hawash area in Sahl al-Ghab and al- Qassabiyyeh area in the southern countryside of Idlib, while the regime forces renewed the shelling with several artillery shells on al-Zakat and Kafr Zita in the northern countryside of Hama, amid the flight of drones in skies over the area, also rocket shells launched by the factions and fell on the regime-controlled neighborhood of Nile Street in Aleppo city, which caused injuries, but other than that, the cautious calm continues in the whole area of “Putin-Erdogan”, and the Syrian Observatory published that the ceasefire entered the middle of its second day within the “Putin – Erdogan” area with a cautious calm prevails all the 4 sectors, interrupted by the sporadic fall of shells launched by the regime forces on al-Zakat and its outskirts north of Hama, and 36 hours have passed since the absence of Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes from the atmosphere of the area, and this is the first time the airstrikes stop for the longest period of time in more than 95 days of killing, destruction, and displacement, and the Syrian Observatory published that as the cautious calm continues within the “de-escalation” area during the second day of implementation of the new ceasefire agreement in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the return of tens of families to their cities, towns, and villages in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, Jabal Shashabo, and Sahl al-Ghab, where they returned to inspect their homes and the destruction caused by the criminal warplanes of the regime and its Russian ally, where most of the returnees are young people and they took advantage of this calm to see their areas, and sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the violent air and ground shelling caused total destruction throughout the areas, such as Khan Shaykhun, villages of Jabal Shashabo, Sahl al-Ghab, and towns and villages south of Idlib, as well as partial destruction and cracks in facilities, where the citizens were hoping to return to their homes after demands of daily life and the high prices made them extremely tired, but the systematic politics that the Syrian regime and the Russians have been following in destroying property and displacing their people; is preventing them from returning, also many of them are afraid to return because they do not trust the agreement of the Russians and the Turks and this cautious calm so they moved supplies from their homes, while the escalating military operations throughout the 3 past months forced more than half a million people to flee their areas, as a result of the violent escalation of land air shelling by the Russian “guarantor” and the Syrian regime; with the blessing and shameful silence of the “Turkish guarantor.”

The Syrian Observatory published this morning that the relative and cautious calm continues in “Putin – Erdogan” area during the 2nd day of implementation of the new ceasefire agreement, where warplanes and helicopters of the regime and the Russians are still absent from the atmosphere of the area since midnight of yesterday, but this relative calm was broken by shells of the regime forces every now and then, where the regime targeted by several rocket shells after midnight of yesterday places in al-Zakat and its surroundings, Kafr Zita, and al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, in a noticeable sharp decline in the ground shelling from yesterday; the first day of the ceasefire agreement, where the Syrian Observatory monitored more than 400 ground strikes exchanged by the regime forces and the Islamic and jihadi factions within the area in the first 24 hours of the agreement.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 2916, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 2nd of August 2019, and they are: 864 civilians including 215 children and 160 citizen women, and they are 149 including 31 children and 35 women, and 6 of the civil defense and 3 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 63 including 15 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 473 including 130 children, 80 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 104 people including 19 women and 19 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 75 citizens including 25 children and 13 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1069 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 669 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 982 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 2nd of August 2019, the and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3445 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1150 civilians including 297 children under the age of eighteen and 224 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 101 people including 30 children under the age of eighteen and 17 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1155 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 714 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1139 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 3675 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1233 civilians including 326 children and 238 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 102 people including 30 children and 16 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1222 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 727 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1219 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
