After they failed to advance from the eastern side…the regime forces take the control of 2 villages and become at a distance of 4 km to the west of Khan Shaykhun city

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve more advancement and take the control of new areas in the southern sector of Idlib, where they managed to impose their control over the villages of Kaf Ein and Tel A’as and its hill south of Idlib, after fierce battles against the factions and jihadi groups under a cover of hysterical aerial and ground firepower, thus, the regime forces approach Khan Shaykhun city from the western side even more, and became at a distance of 4 km from it, after they failed to advance from the eastern side, and the SOHR documented more human losses in the ranks of the both parties since after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday, where it documented the killing of 18 fighters including 13 jihadis, while 10 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were also killed, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries some of whom have seriously wounded, in addition to the presence of information about other casualties.

In connection to this, the regime’s warplanes carried out 29 airstrikes through which they targeted the clash areas south of Idlib, and Khan Shaykhun, Al-Taman’aa, Tar’ei, Sajna, Hazarin and Rakaya in the southern countryside of Idlib, while helicopters dropped 36 barrel bombs on Kafr Nubl, Hass, Kafrumah, Rakaya, Basqala and the clash areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, also the Russian warplanes carried out 20 raids on areas in Khan Shaykhun, Al-Tah, Al-Salihiyah, Al-Taman’aa, Al-Khwayn, Al-Zarzur, Al-Helba and Um Jala in both southern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, also the regime forces targeted by more than 350 shells and missiles, places in the southern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, the northern countryside of Hama and Latakia mountains.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 3304, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 14th of August 2019, and they are: 898 civilians including 221 children and 163 citizen women, and they are 169 including 33 children and 37 women, and 6 of the civil defense and 3 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 68 including 15 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 476 including 132 children, 78 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 106 people including 20 women and 20 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 79 citizens including 26 children and 13 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1272 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 810 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 1134 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 14th of August 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3833 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1184 civilians including 303 children under the age of eighteen and 227 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 105 people including 31 children under the age of eighteen and 17 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1358 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 855 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1291 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 4063 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1267 civilians including 332 children and 241 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 106 people including 31 children and 16 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1425 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 868 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1371 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
