The Syrian war’s remnants continue to claim the lives of citizens and kill and injure 5 children in a village in the northern countryside of Homs
The remnants of the Syrian war are continuing to claim the lives of more people throughout Syria, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 2 child brothers and the injury of 3 other children as a result of the explosion of a landmine of the war’s remnants in Housh Hajju village in the northern sector of Homs countryside, thus, it rose to 126 people including 57 women and 33 children, the number of people who were killed by mines and IED explosions in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, and Deir Ezzor since the 17th of February 2019 until today, and among the total number of casualties the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 44 people including 30 women and 5 children, also the Syrian Observatory documented the killing and execution of 33 members of the regime forces; as they were passing over minefield areas, or arrested by groups of ISIS and executed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices, while the IEDs and mines have also left tens of wounded since the second half of February until now, mostly citizen women, and their injuries varied between severe, amputations, middle, and simple wounds.
And the Syrian Observatory published on the 7th of August 2019, that it documented the death of a child in a mine left over by the “Islamic State” Organization in al-Marashdah village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 26th of July 2019, that it documented the death of a Christian citizen in Yakubiyah village in the northern countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city west of Idlib, as a result of the explosion of a cluster bomb of the remnants of earlier bombardment by the regime forces on the village, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 10th of July 2019, that it monitored more human losses as the Syrian war’s remnants continue to claim the lives of more people through the explosion of ordnance and mines that had been planted earlier, where 7 children of 2 families were killed due to the explosion of mines of the remnants of the “Islamic State” organization in Deblan village which is under the control of the regime forces in the countryside of Deir Ezzor province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 23rd of April 2019 that an explosion was heard in Naseeb town in the eastern sector of Daraa countryside, it was caused by the explosion of a rocket shell that did not exploded earlier which injured a child, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of April 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more casualties as a result of the continued explosion of remnants of the Syrian war of bombs and mines, where 4 people including 2 women were killed in a mine explosion from the remnants of the “Islamic State” Organization in al-Noor Street in al-Raqqah city
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 21st of April 2019 that remnants of the Syrian war continue to reap more lives, despite the end of military operations in most of the areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death and injury of 4 people of one family in Arbin city in the Eastern Ghouta, after the explosion of rocket shell from the remnants of the bombing the city witnessed earlier, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: while the family was inspecting their home in Arbin city, one of the rocket shells -which was not exploded- from the remnants of a previous shelling exploded and killed the man and injured his wife and 2 of his children, and they were transported to the hospital, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory documented the injury of one of the farmers which caused the amputation of a limb in the farms of Douma city northeast of Damascus, in a landmine explosion of the war’s remnants while he was tilling his land in the Eastern Ghouta.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 21st of April 2019, that the remnants of the Syrian war of IEDs and mines continue to explode in several areas leaving more casualties, where the Syrian Observatory monitored the explosion of a landmine in al-Eis town in the southern sector of Aleppo countryside, which injured a person, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 18th of April 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an explosion in al-Shajra town in the western sector of Daraa countryside, it turned out to be caused by the explosion of a landmine in the town, which injured several people including children, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of April 2019 that an explosion was heard in the vicinity of Nawa city in the northwestern countryside of Daraa today Sunday, the 14th of April 2019, it turned out to be caused by a landmine explosion on the road between Sheikh Meskin town and Nawa city, which injured at least 7 people, and in the same context, the Syrian Observatory monitored the explosion of a mine in al-Sekkary area in the eastern part of Aleppo city and controlled by the regime forces, which killed a child and injured other people.
