As part of their quest to reach Damascus – Aleppo International highway, the regime forces advance northwest khan Shaykhun with hysterical air and land support controlling more areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of clashes at a violent pace in several places in the southern countryside of Idlib, between the rebel and Islamic factions and the jihadi groups against the regime forces and militias loyal to them with Russian support, and the Syrian Observatory learned the regime forces achieved a new advancement and managed to take more areas and controlled the villages of Madaya and al-Mardam northwest of Khan Shaykhun with heavy air and ground cover, after hours of controlling Abdeen, and Kafrtab area, which now moved the intensive shelling operations to al-Rakaya village, the Syrian Observatory also documented casualties in the air and ground shelling and clash in Jesr al-Shughur and its farms since after midnight of yesterday, where 11 fighters including 8 of the Jihadis were killed and 5 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were also killed, in addition to information about other casualties.

While violent clashes are taking place Jabal al-Akrad area in the northern countryside of Latakia, in a new attempt of advancement by the regime forces, and in the same context, regime’s warplanes carried out after midnight and this morning about 39 airstrikes on al-Tamanah, Khan Shaykhun, al-Rakaya, Kafrsajna, and the clash areas south of Idlib, while the helicopters dropped at least 33 barrel bombs on Kabani area in the northern countryside of Latakia, Sheikh Mustafa, the vicinity of Khan Shaykhun, and the clashes areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, also the Russian “guarantor’s” warplanes carried out more than 22 raids on the vicinity of Khan Shaykhun, al-Tamanah, and the clash areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, the regime forces also targeted by more than 320 shells and missiles places in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, the northern countryside of Hama, the southern countryside of Aleppo, and mountains of Latakia.

And with the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 3346, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 15th of August 2019, and they are: 905 civilians including 221 children and 164 citizen women, and they are 172 including 33 children and 38 women, and 6 of the civil defense and 4 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 68 including 15 women and 10 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 477 including 132 children, 78 women, and 4 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 106 people including 20 women and 20 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 79 citizens including 26 children and 13 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1296 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 830 of the Jihadis, in addition to the killing of 1145 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

And during the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 15th of August 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 3874 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1190 civilians including 303 children under the age of eighteen and 228 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 105 people including 31 children under the age of eighteen and 17 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1384 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 874 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1302 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 4104 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1273 civilians including 332 children and 242 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 106 people including 31 children and 16 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1449 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 886 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1382 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
