Under the pretext of being houses of fighters and activists…the regime forces burn civilians’ houses and continue their campaign of looting in the areas of Khan Shaykhun and the northern countryside of Hama

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces have been burning and looting houses of citizens under the pretext of being of fighters and activists in the areas that came under the regime control in Khan Shaykhun south of Idlib and areas in the northern countryside of Hama.

The SOHR published on the 22nd of August 2019, that less than 24 hours after they finished spreading in Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib; locusts of the ” Homeland Army” were racing for “looting” the civilian property or what is left of them, after warplanes of the Russians and the Syrian regime destroyed houses, shops, and public facilities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored largescale looting operations by the regime forces in Khan Shaykhun city, such as stealing household furniture and contents of houses, shops, warehouses, etc., at a time when residents of the city were looking for shelter in the north at the border with Iskenderun, under practices by merchants of war there and Turkey’s closure for its doors, in addition to closing the doors of the Syrian city of Afrin, which is under its control along with the Syrian factions loyal to it. Now Khan Shaykhun became a new example for the ” Homeland Army” just like the case of al-Hbit, and other cities, towns, and villages the regime forces took control of them earlier.
