After the “Lebanese Hezbollah” allowed them a conditional return…tens of the locals of Al-Qusayr and its countryside continue to return to their areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the return of tens of people from Al-Qusayr city and its countryside to their areas after the “Lebanese Hezbollah” allowed them to return, amid tight security measurements, and after they fulfilled the conditions imposed by Hezbollah in return for allowing them return to their areas after more than 7 years, while the Syrian Observatory published on the 21st of September 2019, that the return of the citizens to al-Qusayr city which has been controlled by the Lebanese Hezbollah since early June 2013 in the countryside of Homs; is still a shy return, due to the obstacles and fears that stand in the way of their return, despite Hezbollah allowing civilians to return, but this return is conditioned with several matters especially for Sunni Muslim citizens, where they are required to prove their loyalty to Hezbollah in addition to conducting lengthy investigations with them, and after the results they will either allow them to enter al-Qusayr or they will refuse their entry, which applies to the Christian citizens when entering the city, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the return of hundreds of civilians to al-Qusayr and its countryside since the beginning of July 2019, after more than 7 years of absence from the area for since Hezbollah took control of it, and sources of the Syrian Observatory reported that the citizens who passed the tests of Hezbollah were able to enter the city and were allowed to rebuild their homes and property, but most of the citizens are still afraid to return to their area because of the practices of the Lebanese Hezbollah and their fears of being arrested or liquidated.

The Syrian Observatory published on the 14th of June 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources, who confirmed that the Lebanese Hezbollah is still present in the western and southwestern countryside of Homs, the sources confirmed that Hezbollah is still in al-Qusayr area and the vicinity of Jusiyyeh crossing area on the Syrian – Lebanese border, and no withdrawal from the area was carried out, also the Lebanese Hezbollah refused to withdraw according to Russian orders to its leadership that it should withdraw from the area located on the western and southwestern borders of Homs with Lebanon, after the Israeli raids that destroyed warehouses for the Lebanese Hezbollah in al-Qusayr area a few days ago, also this rejection by Hezbollah coincided with re-positioning of the Russian forces in the area away from a the contact lines with Hezbollah, the sources confirmed to the Observatory that no clashes took place between both parties in al-Qusayr; and that the news from al-Qusayr area about clashes between the Russian forces and members of the Lebanese Hezbollah using heavy and medium weapons are fake news.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 5th of June 2018 that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from a number of reliable sources, confirmed that the withdrawal of the Lebanese Hezbollah from both western and south-western countryside of Homs city, on the Syrian – Lebanese border, is false news, and the sources confirmed that there were no withdrawals carried out by Hezbollah from its positions in the area, and all what happened is a media withdrawal, while Hezbollah is still stationed in its positions in the western and south-western sectors of Homs city, and other reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the positions of Hezbollah frequently witness shifts of the stationed forces with new units.
