We also always confirmed that our position towards the dialogue with various parties to be a strategic position, and we have done all necessities of diplomacy to resolve the dispute with Turkey, the latest of which was the implementation of the security mechanism agreement, which expressed the true will of the Syria Democratic Forces to bring peace to the area.

We continue to take all necessary steps at the diplomatic level and activate the channels of dialogue with various relevant international parties regarding the Syrian file; to stop this attack and spare our people the risks of any military clash, and not to fail in carrying out their responsibilities, we also support the decision of the Syria Democratic Forces in defending our borders and our people against any aggression, and we make it clear that Turkey will not be able to control ISIS members and their families in the area.

The statement concluded: “We in the Syria Democratic Council reject in the strongest terms Turkey’s plans to occupy the area, and we call on the international community to stand seriously in the face of this dangerous development, and affirm that the White House’s decision in this regard undermines all efforts to fight ISIS, also we call on the United Nations and the Security Council to stand in more responsibility towards the people of this area and to protect them from the Turkish plans targeting their historical presence on their land, and we affirm that any Turkish aggression will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and a major wave of displacement for the safe people of the area.”
