Unidentified gunmen attack one of the security checkpoints of the SDF in Al-Shuhayl town east of Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that clashes by light weapons erupted at one of the security checkpoints of the Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, against the backdrop of an attack carried out by unidentified gunmen on the checkpoint, without information about casualties, and as a part of the mounting security chaos in within the SDF-held areas east of Deir Ezzor, the SOHR monitored on the 20th of October 2019, that unidentified gunmen have kidnapped a citizen from Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and according to the SOHR’s sources; the citizen was kidnapped as he was going to the kidnappers to hand over an amount of money of 1000 USD, after receiving threats and  being blackmailed to pay this sum of money by calling him, where he was kidnapped while he was going to give them the money.
