A water crisis emerges in Al-Hasakah due to the accumulation of displaced people .. and the water to be pumped to the city’s neighborhoods according to a schedule .. and the locals are compelled to buy water at 2000 SYL for a single barrel

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today, the suffering of the locals of Al-Hasakah city which is overcrowded by displaced people, regarding the lack of water, where the water is distributed to the city’s neighborhoods according to a schedule, where water is pumped for one or two hours at most in each neighborhood, which does not meet the needs of the locals who are compelled to fill water from water yards and tanks for 2000 SYL for a single barrel, and the city is suffering from heavy congestion due to the accumulation of displaced people who came from different cities of the Syrian North due to the Turkish military operation, and according to what the SOHR monitored; the schedule of pumping water within Al-Hasakah city, is divided into 5 categories, each one contains a group of neighborhoods.
