Regime’s security forces accompanied by members of the “reconciliation” factions carry out large-scale raids in the Eastern Ghouta and arrest about 150 young people

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Political Security” branch carried out raids and arrests during the past week in cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, and Mesraba, and according to information of the Syrian Observatory: in the operation members who are from the Eastern Ghouta have participated, of who carried out settlements and joined the ranks of the regime, where the campaign targeted tens of young people who passed their date to join the compulsory and reserve service and the date of their security settlement procedures, as well as former members of the opposition factions whose security settlements had been rejected, and in this campaign, at least 150 young people have been arrested, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 24th of October 2019 that, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime’s intelligence carried out before 2 days, a campaign of arrests in Harasta city in Rif Dimashq targeting about 50 young men from the city, through sitting temporary checkpoints inside the city and raiding houses and shops, amid security tightening in the city, by enhancing the security checkpoints in Harasta city in the countryside of the capital Damascus and the rest cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta.

And according to the sources of the SOHR; among the young men who have been arrested, there are 2 young men of those who had their situations settled in coordination with the “reconciliation” committee in Harasta city and returned from the Syrian north to the city about a month ago, where all the detainees were taken to the branch of Air Forces Intelligence which is located at the outskirts of Harasta city.
