Turkish-backed factions suffer casualties during clashes in the vicinity of Ain Issa

Syrian Democratic Forces killed at least two members of the Turkish-backed factions on Sunday during clashes in the vicinity of Ain Issa town in Raqqa countryside, according to reliable sources. The Syrian Observatory, reported on November 8, that violent clashes are continuing in the Arisha axis and other axes in Abu Rasin (Zarkan), between the Syrian Democratic Forces on one side and the Turkish-backed factions on the other, accompanied with shelling and mutual targets, while Turkish drones continued to target sporadic positions within the area between Tal Tamr and Ras al-Ain (Sri Kanye), amid reports of further casualties among both sides.

The Syrian Observatory reported yesterday evening that the SDF and the Syrian regime forces regained control of Umm Shu’ayfa village, located on the road between Tal Tamr and Abu Rasin in al-Hasakah province, after fierce clashes with Turkish forces and their loyalist factions, amid information on more casualties among both sides.

The Syrian Observatory also reported on November 7 that the SDF had regained control of the Shirakrak silos, as the entire village became under SDF control, following violent clashes between SDF and Turkish-backed factions, on several axes north of Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Raqqa. Reliable sources confirmed that Shirakrak is completely under the control of the SDF, where SDF responded to violent attacks by Turkish-backed factions with air and ground suppor from Turkish forces, and succeeded to prevent their advancement to the area that contain silos with very large quantities of wheat and grain stocks.

“At the junction of Shirakrak village, 200 meters away from the village, there are checkpoints for regime forces and SDF forces. In general, there are some villages on the seam that are not under the control of anyone, where there are fierce fighting,” the sources said. The SOHR documented heavy casualties as a result of the shelling and clashes, today, where 14 members of the SDF and 11 fighters of the Turkish-backed factions, and the death toll from both sides is likely to rise because of the wounded, some in serious cases.

According to the statistics of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the beginning of the Turkish military operation “peace spring”, the death toll among the Syrian Democratic Forces, military councils and internal security forces as a result of air and ground bombardment and clashes with Turkish forces and their affiliates since the beginning of the Turkish military operation on Wednesday afternoon rose to 319. Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 24 members of the regime forces and the injury of others as a result of rocket attacks carried out by Turkish forces and their affiliates on the axes northwest of Manbij and east of Ain Issa on positions of regime, while the number of deaths of Syrian factions loyal to “Ankara” and pro-Turkey cells during the clashes and clashes with the “SDF” during the same period rose to 266, including 21 members of the cells loyal to the “Ankara”, killed in clashes with the “SDF”, in addition to the killing of 10 Turkish soldiers so far during the clashes and targeting amid information about the deaths of other Turks on the border, and the number of those killed is likely to rise because there are dozens of wounded, some in serious cases.
