SDF carry out new operation on the water smuggling crossings towards regime’s areas east of Deir Ezzor, clash with smugglers, and destroy their boats
Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory learned that the Syria Democratic Forces raided “water ferries” in al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which are used for smuggling between their controlled areas and regime forces’-controlled areas, and according to the Syrian Observatory, the raiding force clashed with several smugglers in the area and the Syria Democratic Forces destroyed and damaged boats used for smuggling, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 26th of September 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Syria Democratic Forces raided river crossings in Al-Shuhayl town east of Deir Ezzor where these crossings are used for smuggling operations by locals towards the controlled areas of the Syrian regime, and sound of explosions and gunfire was heard in the area caused by targeting by the SDF to boats and ferries.
