After the killing of 3 members of the military intelligence branch .. the “Popular Resistance” attacks 4 security checkpoints and posts in Daraa province

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored attacks by armed gunmen believed to be of the “Popular Resistance in Daraa”, on several security posts in Jasim city in Daraa province.

The gunmen targeted by gunfire the municipality of Jasim Township, the checkpoint of the National Hospital, the checkpoint on the road to Inkhil and the Cultural Center, without information about casualties so far.

On November 12, SOHR published that armed members believed to belong to what is known as the “Popular Resistance in Daraa”, attacked a checkpoint of the military intelligence of the regime forces.

3 members of the military intelligence branch were killed in the attack carried out on the regime’s checkpoint between Gharaz and Al-Mayathen, while others injured, according sources of SOHR.

Reliable sources monitored mobilization by the regime force in the area and the surrounding villages after the attack, in anticipation for any other attacks.

Thus, the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods through the detonation of IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shooting during the period between last June to the present day, rose to more than 166 attempts, while the number of those killed and died in those attempts during the same period rose to 118, they are: 15 civilians, including two females and a child, in addition to 62 of regime forces, their affiliates and collaborators with the security forces, 22 faction fighters who have conducted “reconciliation” and are now among the security forces, including former seniors and 12 Syrian militia men affiliated with Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iranian forces, in addition to 6 fighters of the so-called “Fifth Corps” which was established by Russia.
