“Tahrir Al-Sham” arrests a media activist in Idlib countryside as a part of its policy of silencing and pursuing the oppositionists

Members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested a media activist from Hass city against the backdrop of his repeated criticism against the policy of HTS and the Salvation Government on social media.

Sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Al-Bayadah checkpoint of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham near Al-Rami village, arrested the activist and took him to unknown destination, also one of the Sharia Courts had informed him that it is necessary to get back to it, for the same reasons, but he tried to evade them for days before being arrested.

“Tahrir Al-Sham” adopts the policy of silencing and pursuing the media activists who oppose its trends.

On November 13, SOHR published that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham released the activist “Amjad Al-Maleh” after about  2 years of detention, where it had arrested him with a number of activists from Rif Dimashq after being displaced on the 14th of April 2017.

At that time, they faced several accusations including “communication with the regime and espionage for Israel and the Lebanese “Hezbollah”.

Tahrir Al-Sham released the rest activists after 50 days of detention, except “Al-Maleh” whose fate remained unknown until he was set free.
