Jihadi groups and factions advance at the expense of regime forces south-east of Idlib and nearly 30 casualties in the ranks of both parties in a few hours

Fierce battles continue between the rebel and Islamic factions and several jihadi groups on one hand, and the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on the other, and the attacks of jihadis and factions is concentrated in the areas of Rasm Al-Ward, Istablat, Sarouj, Sarja, Al-Zarzour, I’jaz, Um Al-Khalakhil, Kafrya and other areas in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, accompanied by violent exchange of shelling.

The Syrian Observatory was informed that the jihadi groups managed to advance and take control of several positions in the areas of Rasm Al-Ward, Istablat and Sarouj amid confirmed information about imposing their control over these villages.

The fierce clashes which are accompanied by intensive aerial and ground bombardment, left casualties in the ranks of both parties, where at least 16 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed, in addition to the killing of 13 fighters including 10 jihadists, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injuries some of whom are in serious conditions, as well as presence of information about other casualties.

In the same context, a citizen from Saraqib town died affected by the injury he had in bombardment by regime’s warplanes months ago.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 4693, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until the 30th of November 2019, and they are: 1206 civilians including 305 children and 218 citizen women, and they are 299 including 67 children and 55 women, and 9 of the civil defense and 6 of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 91 including 19 women and 15 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 550 including 157 children, 93 women, and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 175 people including 35 women and 36 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 91 citizens including 30 children and 16 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 1866 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1213 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 1621 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until the 30th of November 2019, and Syrian Observatory documented the death of 5219 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1489 civilians including 386 children under the age of eighteen and 282 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 117 people including 33 children under the age of eighteen and 20 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 1952 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1246 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1778 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 5453 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1572 civilians including 415 children and 296 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 118 people including 33 children and 21 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2019 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1350 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 1862 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
