The factions resist 2 advancement attempts in both Hama and Latakia countryside .. and more than 400 air and ground strikes targeted the “de-escalation” zone
The Islamic factions and jihadi groups managed to fend off 2 advancement attempts carried out today morning by groups of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and lasted for hours in the areas of Kabain in the northern countryside of Latakia and Al-Hawija in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western sector of Hama province.
Meanwhile, the Islamic factions shelled positions of the regime forces in Al-Jib Al-Ahmar in Latakia countryside with high-explosive missiles.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the factions managed to advance and took control of several positions in the areas of Rasm Al-Ward, Istablat and Sarouj amid confirmed information about imposing their control over these villages.
The fierce clashes which are accompanied by intensive aerial and ground bombardment, left casualties in the ranks of both parties, where at least 16 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed, in addition to the killing of 13 fighters including 10 jihadists, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injuries some of whom are in serious conditions, as well as presence of information about other casualties.
In the same context, a citizen from Saraqib town died affected by the injury he had in bombardment by regime’s warplanes months ago.
SOHR also monitored bombardment by the Russian warplanes with 12 raids, targeting Maarrat Hurmah, Kafr Nubl and areas in the eastern countryside of Marraat Al-Nu’man.
The regime’s warplanes bombarded Al-Ghadqah town, A’jaz and Rasm Al-Ward in the eastern countryside of Idlib, with 8 raids, which resulted in the injury of some people with varying severity in Al-Ghadqah town.
Also helicopters dropped 4 barrel bombs that targeted Maarrat Hurmah in the southern countryside of Idlib and the area of Kabani in the northern countryside of Latakia.
In connection to this, the regime forces shelled by 380 rocket and artillery shells, towns and areas in the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib, the north-western countryside of Hama, and large spaces of Latakia countryside.
