A demonstration goes out in Deir Ezzor in protest against the fuel high prices in SDF’s areas of influence

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a demonstration in Hawayij Ziab village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, to protest against the rise in fuel prices and call upon the Civil Council to improve the living conditions.

On December 4, SOHR monitored that the locals of Al-Busayrah city, Al-Sabha and Abriha in Deir Ezzor countryside, set tires on fire and blocked the roads to these towns, in protest against the ignoring to the area, and the locals demanded the allocation of sums of money from the oil revenues for developing the area.

Reliable sources confirmed to SOHR that representatives of the People’s Council in Al-Busayrah area, met yesterday with the deputy minister of oil in the “Autonomous Administration” and asked him for allocating monthly sums of money for the civil councils and monthly expenses for the families in the area, because of the lack of job opportunities and the high prices of goods in general, and the meeting was over without reaching a deal, so the representatives of the People’s Council in Al-Busayrah and the locals decided to protest in Al-Busayrah city.
