As part of their restriction on people of Afrin area, the Turkish-backed police arrest a citizen from Afrin countryside for unknown reasons

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: members of the civilian police of the Turkish-backed factions raided a citizen’s home in Ashkan village west of Jandairis of Afrin area yesterday, and took him to their prisons in the area without knowing the reasons for the arrest.

The Syrian Observatory monitored on the 7th of December 2019 that the areas under control of the Turkish forces and their loyal factions in Aleppo countryside, are still witnessing security chaos with the continuation of kidnapping, killing and armed robberies.

In this context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the finding of the body of a citizen woman killed by gunmen after being kidnapped early this month in Azaz city north of Aleppo, and she is from Deir Al-Sawan village of Shirawa Township.

According to information obtained by SOHR; the woman was found dead with marks of gunshots on her body in Qastal Jendo village in Sharran Township east of Afrin city, without information about the killing motives and reasons so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 1st of December 2019 that the Turkish-backed factions of the so-called “National Army” continue cutting down olive trees in several villages of Afrin northwest of Aleppo, in light of the increased demand for firewood due to the fuel crisis that is ravaging the areas controlled by the factions, and in this context, reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that gunmen of “al-Shamiyyah Front” faction cut down about 200 olive trees belong to an elderly woman in Kafr Janna village in Afrin countryside, which caused the woman to have a heart attack as a result of her shock after losing her only livelihood.
