The factions thwart a new advancement attempt in Idlib countryside, and about 300 ground and airstrikes target the “de-escalation” area

The factions were able to thwart a new advancement attempt by the regime forces in the abandoned battalion area in Idlib countryside, in conjunction with intense ground shelling on the area and the contact points there, while the sporadic clashes and exchange of targeting have been taking place since this morning.

In another context, the regime forces who are positioned in Sahl al-Ghab shot down a drone set off from an unknown place, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored artillery shelling targeted al-Ziyara town in the northwestern countryside of Hama.

And in the same context, the regime forces continue to shell the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, targeting al-Tah, Deir Sharqi, Dier Gharbi, and areas of Om Jalal, Ejaz area, the western areas of Abu al-Duhur, al-Raffa, al-Halba, al-Serj, Karsanta, Abu Makki, and Bidama town in Idlib countryside, raising the number of ground strikes to 280.

The Syrian Observatory monitored this afternoon air strikes by regime warplanes on Um al-Tina village in the eastern countryside of Maarat al-Numan, without reports about any casualties so far, while the clashes in the southeastern countryside of Idlib had declined, between regime forces and allied armed men on one hand, and the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham on the other hand, to be limited to mutual targets with missiles and heavy machine guns, after Tahrir Al-Sham was able to regain control of the abandoned battalion after a surprise attack on regime forces positions began at dawn on Wednesday, during which 10 members of the regime forces and the allied militants were killed, while 5 fighters of the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham were killed.
