Rainwater reflects the service situation in Latakia city, and the people ask for help as flooding continues

The rainwater flooded several streets of Latakia city and turned them into rivers, also torrential rains and floods were formed in parts of the city due to heavy and continuous rain for about 48 hours, where the rainwater entered homes of citizens and warehouses, and caused them to sink and cause significant material damage, while drainage and sewer channels have not were not enough to handle the rainfall and water.
Latakia province is witnessing a poor service situation, where in conjunction with the heavy rain and floods; the drinking water was cut off in several neighborhoods of the city, and in the same context, the countryside of Jableh city witnessed rising in river levels, which caused great suffering to the people who sent distress calls to the municipalities and the Directorate of Water Resources to help them with emergency solutions.
