SDF target a Turkish tank in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah and the Turkish forces respond by shelling positions of the former

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored heavy shelling by the Turkish forces today morning, Wednesday, on positions of Syria Democratic Forces in the vicinity of Shirkirak area north of Al-Raqqah city, where the shelling has lasted for nearly 2 hours, without information about casualties so far.

This shelling came after targeting by SDF to a Turkish tank with a guided missile, which destroyed it.

SOHR monitored yesterday, clashes between the regime forces on one hand, and the Turkish-backed factions on the other, on areas in Al-Sukarriyah village in Sharkirak and Qantarh in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, accompanied by exchange of targeting with heavy machineguns, which resulted in fall of human losses in the ranks of both parties, where it is confirmed that at least 5 members of the regime forces were injured.

SOHR reported on December 14, that it monitored today a new attack carried out by the “Turkish-backed factions” on Saida village near Ayn Issa in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah, where violent clashes broke out accompanied by artillery shelling, but no information about casualties so far.
