In 24 hours of military operations in Idlib .. more than 462 air and ground strikes .. 72 persons killed .. and the humanitarian catastrophe gets aggravated as more people displaced
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of intense aerial and ground bombardment on Idlib countryside, where the regime forces target areas in Al-Tah, Tal Al-Shih, Sahal, Um Tinah and Al-Ferja in both eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, along with air strikes carried out by Russian warplanes after midnight and today morning, on places in the vicinity of Saraqib, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city and its outskirts.
Meanwhile, battles have been still continuing in several areas in both eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib, where the Syrian Observatory was informed that the regime forces managed to achieve a new advancement at the expense of the factions and jihadis represented by imposing their control over Al-Kharibah and Al-Rabiaa after they controlled Um Jalal village yesterday.
SOHR documented more human losses in the ranks of both parties, where the number fighters of the factions and jihadis who were killed in the bombardment and clashes, raised to 38 members, while at least 23 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injuries in the ranks of both parties some of whom are in serious conditions.
Yesterday, Thursday, the regime’s warplanes and helicopters targeted areas in Idlib province with more than 102 air strikes, while the regime’s ground forces targeted the area with at least 360 ground strikes.
SOHR also monitored continued displacement of large number of people, from Maarrat Al-Nu’man area, where the humanitarian catastrophe gets aggravated without intervention of any of relevant parties to stop it.
Yesterday’s bombardment resulted in the killing of 11 citizens they are: 4 citizens including 2 women and a child due to Russian air strikes on Mardikh village east of Idlib, 5 persons including a woman and a child girl in rocket shelling targeted Maarrat Al-Nu’man south of Idlib, a woman in bombardment by the regime’s warplanes in Deir Sonbol south of Idlib, a child girl who was killed in Russian aerial bombardment on Maarrat Al-Nu’man city in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of at least 38 injuries in different areas, some of them have seriously wounded.
