opposition factions repel regime advances in Latakia countryside, killing five regime soldiers, coinciding with the military operation in Idlib countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that five members of regime forces and allied armed forces were killed, today in Latakia countryside, where the Syrian Observatory monitored heavy clashes, between jihadist factions on one hand and regime forces and allied armed forces, on Kabana’s contact line in Latakia countryside, after an attempt to advance by regime forces on the surrounding hills, without changing the map of control.

The death toll since the start of the most violent escalation in the “de-escalation” zone on April 30 to date, raised to 5073, including 1317 civilians, including 335 children and 242 women were killed by the regime and Russian “guarantor” warplanes, in addition to bombardment and ground targets. 338, including 81 children, 64 women, 9 civil defense and 6 of the emergency service by the Russian air strikes in both Idlib and Hama countryside, 107, including 22 women and 21 children were killed in barrel bombs by helicopters, 586 including 161 children, 100 women and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed also in targeting by the regime warplanes. During the period between the 15th of February 2019, the date of the meeting of “Ruhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the Syrian Observatory reported the death toll of 5599 people in the Russian –Turkish truce areas, 1600 civilians including 416 children and 306 women, they were killed by the Russian air strikes and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there is 120 people including 34 children and 20 women were killed in shell launched by the factions on the regime-held areas, and 2093 fighters were killed in different circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1353 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1906 of regime forces and allied militias.

SOHR also reported since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the deaths of 5833 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement,1683 civilians including 445 children and 320 women were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the allied militias , targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in by shell launched by the factions, and 2160 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1457 of the “Jihadi” fighters, 1990 members of regime forces and allied militias.
