opposition factions repel regime advances in Latakia countryside, killing five regime soldiers, coinciding with the military operation in Idlib countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that five members of regime forces and allied armed forces were killed, today in Latakia countryside, where the Syrian Observatory monitored heavy clashes, between jihadist factions on one hand and regime forces and allied armed forces, on Kabana’s contact line in Latakia countryside, after an attempt to advance by regime forces on the surrounding hills, without changing the map of control.

Where fighting factions were able to repel an attempt by regime forces on al-Haddada’s contact line in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, while jihadist factions shelled regime forces positions in Jurin, while regime forces bombed the contact lines of Latakia countryside and linked roads in western countryside of Idlib, and villages, towns and contact lines of Sahil Al-Ghab were subjected to similar shelling, without reported any casualties so far.

As more casualties have been reported, the number of people killed since the last “Putin-Erdogan” agreement on August 31 to date, raised to 972, 272 civilians, including 75 children and 56 women killed by regime and Russian “guarantor” aircrafts, as well as ground bombardments and targets. 112, including 37 children and 21 women were killed in Russian air strikes on Idlib and Hama countryside, 19, including 3 women and 6 children were killed in barrel bombs by helicopters, 50, including 6 children and 10 women were killed in the targeting of regime warplanes, 77 people, including 20 women and 21 children were killed in ground shelling by the regime, 14 civilians, including 5 children and 2 women were killed by factions shelling on the regime-held areas In Aleppo city and its countryside and Hama countryside, in the same period, at least 342 fighters were killed by the regime and Russians in aerial and ground strikes and in clashes , including 234 jihadists, in addition to 353 members of regime forces and allied militants were killed in targeting, bombing, explosions and clashes with jihadist groups and factions.

The death toll since the start of the most violent escalation in the “de-escalation” zone on April 30 to date, raised to 5073, including 1317 civilians, including 335 children and 242 women were killed by the regime and Russian “guarantor” warplanes, in addition to bombardment and ground targets. 338, including 81 children, 64 women, 9 civil defense and 6 of the emergency service by the Russian air strikes in both Idlib and Hama countryside, 107, including 22 women and 21 children were killed in barrel bombs by helicopters, 586 including 161 children, 100 women and 5 members of the rescue teams were killed also in targeting by the regime warplanes. A further 191 people, including 40 women and 41 children, were killed in ground bombardments carried out by regime forces, 94 civilans, including 31 children and 16 women were killed by the factions shelling on Saqalbya, Qamhanah, Al-Rasif, Aziziya, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairb camp and other neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, In the same period, at least 2007 fighters were killed by the regime and Russian air and ground strikes and clashes, including 1321 jihadists, in addition to 1744 of regime forces and allied militants killed in targets, bombings, explosions and clashes with jihadist groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019, the date of the meeting of “Ruhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today, the Syrian Observatory reported the death toll of 5599 people in the Russian –Turkish truce areas, 1600 civilians including 416 children and 306 women, they were killed by the Russian air strikes and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there is 120 people including 34 children and 20 women were killed in shell launched by the factions on the regime-held areas, and 2093 fighters were killed in different circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1353 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 1906 of regime forces and allied militias.

SOHR also reported since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the deaths of 5833 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement,1683 civilians including 445 children and 320 women were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the allied militias , targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 121 people including 34 children and 21 women, were killed in by shell launched by the factions, and 2160 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1457 of the “Jihadi” fighters, 1990 members of regime forces and allied militias.
