Opposition factions and jihadis continue counterattack in Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside recovering more areas hours after regime had advanced into them

Jihadi groups and factions continue their counterattacks on areas over which the regime forces imposed their control in the recent hours, in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib.

The ongoing fierce clashes between both parties are accompanied by exchange of intensive shelling.

SOHR monitored that the factions and jihadies have regained control of Al-Ghadfah, Al-Berseh and Tal Mannas, since they unleashed a counterattack early this morning. Meanwhile they strive to regain control over Jarjnaz and Farawan.

SOHR has also documented more human losses in the ranks of both parties since after midnight, as it rose to 11, the number of casualties of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in addition to the killing of seven fighters of the factions and Jihadis, raising the number of casualties of both conflicting parties since the beginning of Thursday’s ground offensive to 277 casualties of both parties, they are: 122 of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, and 155 fighters including 29 of the factions and the rest are of the Jihadis.
