Over three thousand persons flee Saraqib in 24 hours, as international community silence towards the humanitarian catastrophe continues

Humanitarian catastrophe of locals in Maarrat Al-Nu’man and Saraqib in the south-eastern and eastern countryside Idlib getting aggravated, as large number of people continue to displace fleeing the military operations by regime forces and Russian guarantor, amid complete silence by the Turkish guarantor and international community.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored in the past 24 hours, the displacement of three thousand people from Saraqib town in the eastern countryside of Idlib, as a part of ongoing displacement for fear of an anticipated offensive by the regime forces on the town.

The displaced people head to the border with Iskenderun in north Idlib, and to Afrin area in the north-western countryside of Aleppo.

Accordingly, it rose to 103000, the number of people forced to displace since early December, from the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man (the villages from Um Jalal to Maasaran and from Maarrat Al-Nu’man to the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur), in addition to towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiya south of Idlib city, and villages in the east of Saraqib town in the eastern sector of Idlib countryside.
