With stoppage in aerial bombardment, clashes take place in Idlib and latakia countryside, leaving many casualties
Warplanes and helicopters have been absent from atmosphere of the ‘de-escalation’ area for 48 hours, while the regime forces launched shells of heavy artillery targeting Marshamsha, Babulin, and al-Salhiya in Maarrat al-Nu’man countryside, while the checkpoints in the eastern countryside of Idlib are witnessing sporadic clashes, and the factions were able to destroy vehicles of the regime forces in al-Tah area in Idlib countryside, also three members of the regime forces and their loyalist were killed.
And sporadic clashes continue in areas of Mshamish and al-Dalim, after regime forces’ control of Samkeh village in the eastern countryside of Idlib. Also, the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of several shells launched by the rebel factions and fell around the birthplace of the head of the regime. Also, the Jihadi factions targeted al-Suqaylabiyah in the western countryside of Hama, but no information about casualties was reported so far.
In the same context, violent clashes took place in the Kabani area in the northern countryside of Latakia, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the jihadi factions, where the last-mentioned managed to kill 4 members of the regime forces in an infiltration operation in one of the areas.
The Syrian Observatory monitored hours ago that the regime forces continue their rocket shelling on places in Deir Sharqi, Deir Gharbi, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, Al-Za’lanah, Maarshamsheh, Tal Mannas, Al-Ghadfah, Babulin, Maasaran, Tal Karsiyan, Kuayris, Tal Khatrah, and Abu Juraif.
As regime captured new areas, the number of areas come under control of the regime since the beginning of military operation on Thursday, December 19, rose to 45, they are: Um Jalal, Um Al-Twaina, Al-Khariba, Al-Rabia, Al-Sharaa, Bernan, Sahal, Al-Farajeh, Abu Habeh, Al-Rafeh, Al-Serj, Haran, Al-Sayyadi, Tal al-Damm, Katra, Tal Al Shiekh, al-Brisa, Mazra’aat Al-Ali, Al-Burj, al-Haraki, Al-Minzar, Tahtaya, Al-Halbeh, al-Qarati, Karsatna, Al-M’eisruneh, Sakiya, Al-Tah, Al-Sarman, Abu Makki, Marata, Faalul, Al Haditha, Abu Dafnah, Taqana, and Jarjanaz, al-Metrawa, Kherbet al-Srouni, al-Bestan, al-Ma’asara, Kherbet Arnaba, Msibteh, Abu Sharji, Samakah village and Jadidat Nawwaf.
