Turkish forces renew shelling villages surrounding Ain Issa north of Al-Raqqah

SOHR sources reported that the Turkish forces shelled the vicinity of Ain Issa town in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah with artillery. No information about casualties has been reported yet.

On December 26, SOHR monitored today artillery shelling carried out by the Turkish Forces and the Turkey-loyal factions, targeted the villages of al-Aridah and al-Khalidiya in Ayn Issa countryside north of al-Raqqah province, but no information about casualties so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 25th of December 2019 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored SDF firing a missile on positions of the Turkish forces in Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. Turkish forces responded with intensive rocket shelling targeting the site where the SDF missile was launched.

On December 18, SOHR monitored exchange of intense targeting continues in areas in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, between the Turkish forces and factions loyal to them, against Syria Democratic forces.

The targeting has been continuing since morning using machineguns and tens of rocket shells, and it is concentrated in the area of Shirkirak and other areas west of Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, without information so far about casualties.
