Turkish-backed factions continue to carry out the most horrendous violations against civilians in the areas they recently took over in northeastern Syria after the military operation “Peace Spring”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented a new incident in which one of the factions located in the city of Ras al-Ayn (Sari Kani) kidnapped a Kurdish young man with special needs, after returning to his home with his mother, the Syrian Observatory sources said that members of the faction tried to kill the young man but the intervention of the residents of the neighborhood prevented that from happening, then was kidnaped by the faction waiting an unknown fate.

The Syrian Observatory sources added that the mother of the young man tried repeatedly through dignitaries close to the factions in order to release her son, but all her attempts failed, amid reports that the faction who kidnapped the young man was “Al-Hamza Division”.

On December 19, The Syrian Observatory reported that Ankara-backed factions are continuing to transport grains from Shirkirak Silos in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah to Turkish territory, where new quantities of grains were taken today morning to Turkey escorted by Turkish vehicles.

SOHR sources added that this action was in front of the Russian forces which are located in the vicinity of the area, without any reaction.

It is noteworthy that Turkish forces and Turkey’s proxy factions had taken control over the silos of Shirkirak on November 18, and the village’s silos contain huge quantities of wheat and grain stocks.
